PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping control device capable of identifying an optimal control gain at a real time and applying the optimal gain in operation.SOLUTION: The damping control device includes a controller for controlling a damping device which can restrain vibrations in directions orthogonal to a conveying direction of belt-shaped metal plates conveyed continuously and approximately perpendicular to the plate surface of the metal plate, and an information processing device for changing the control gain by identifying the control gain of the controller. The information processing device includes: a data acquisition section for acquiring displacement result values of the metal plate detected with a detecting device for detecting in a direction orthogonal to a conveying direction of the metal plates and operation actual values of the damping device; a control gain identification section for identifying the control gain of the controller by using a control model of the damping device on the basis of displacement actual values and operation actual values; and a control gain change section for changing the control gain of the controller at designated timing on the basis of the identified control gain.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a cold-rolled steel sheet without reaching suspension of pickling even while a cold-rolling mill is suspended without impeding productivity needlessly in continuous steel sheet processing equipment. SOLUTION: Before suspending a cold-rolling mill 5, the target value of the sum total of the accumulative length of loopers 12, 13 when ending the suspension of the cold-rolling mill 5 arranged between sections 24, 26 and a threading speed during the suspension of the cold-rolling mill 5 in the section 24 are determined, the target value of the sum total of the accumulative length of the loopers 12, 13 when starting the suspension of the cold-rolling mill 5 is obtained on the basis of the predetermined suspension time of the cold-rolling mill 5, the target value of the accumulative length of the steel sheet when ending the suspension of the cold-rolling mill 5 and the threading speed during the suspension of the cold-rolling mill 5 of the section 24. By controlling the threading speed of the section 24 so as to satisfy the target value of the sum total of the accumulative length when starting the suspension of the cold-rolling mill 5, after starting the suspension of the cold-rolling mill 5, the threading speed of the section 24 is used as the threading speed during the suspension of the cold-rolling mill 5 determined before the suspension of the cold-rolling mill 5. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance control method for a rolled material in a hot rolling line capable of minimizing the idling time between rolled materials at an inlet side of a finishing rolling mill even though errors on the rolling time may be generated in a rough rolling mill.SOLUTION: When errors at the actual rolling time are generated on material rolling starting and terminating times of respective stands R1 to R3 set at the time of sampling in a heating furnace 1, the pitch can be corrected by changing the conveyance speed of conveyance tables among the stands R1 to R3 so as to make next stand R2 or R3 located at a downstream side start its rolling at an originally set time.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel plate levelling speed control method on a levelling machine and its equipment, which can improve manufacturing efficiency of the steel plate by avoiding collision of the tail end of a preceding steel piece with the head end of a following steel piece, and can eventually improve productivity.SOLUTION: When a plurality of steel plates cooled to a designated temperature on a cooling bed 1 are successively straightened through a levelling machine 2 and when a steel plate on a transfer table on the entry side of the levelling machine is drawn in beneath the work roll of levelling machine 2 for straightening with no steel plate in the levelling machine, if the space Lb on the delivery side of the levelling machine is longer than the length of steel plate that is assumed to be drawn in and straightened, straightening on the levelling machine 2 is performed at the predetermined standard speed for straightening, and if the space Lb on the delivery side of the levelling machine is shorter than the length of steel plate that is assumed to be drawn in and straightened, straightening on the levelling machine 2 is performed at a slower speed than the standard speed for straightening, and furthermore, the shorter is the space Lb on the delivery side of the levelling machine, the slower is the straightening speed.
