    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high electric characteristics such as a small tan δ max and flow charge max in addition to high oxidative stability by including a specified amount of each of sulfide type sulfur and a phenolic compound with mineral oil and/or synthetic oil as the main component. SOLUTION: Insulating oil contains 50 wt.ppm, preferably more than 100 wt.ppm but 1000 weight ppm or less, preferably 500 wt.ppm or less sulfide type sulfur, and 10 wt.ppm or more but less than 300 wt.ppm phenolic compound. The phenolic compound is preferably selected from formulas I, II, III. The phenolic compound is preferable to be 2,6-tertiary butyl paracresol. In the formulas, R11,13,15,18 are 3-12C branched chain alkyl; R12,16, are methyl, ethyl; R17 is 1-4C alkylene, alkylidene; R18 is H, 1-12C alkyl; R20 is H, methyl; and R12 is direct bonding or same as R17.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic oil which exhibits excellent stability against oxidation, extreme pressure properties, sludge formation inhibiting properties, and sludge resistance even under high-temp. and high-pressure conditions of a piston pump in an actual machine and can maintain these properties for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This hydraulic oil comprises: a mineral oil, a synthetic oil, or a mixed oil composed of these oils as a base oil; and, based on the total mass of the hydraulic oil, 0.01 to 1 mass % alkenyl succinimide or a derivative thereof, 0.1 to 5 mass % phosphoric ester, 0.05 to 0.5 mass % alkylated diphenylamine, and 0.05 to 0.5 mass % hindered phenols.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil composition capable of sufficiently suppressing the generation of sludge and useful for refrigeration equipment such as refrigerator and room air-conditioner by compounding a lubricating base oil component with an antioxidant and a specific polymerization inhibitor. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a lubricating base oil component composed of a mineral oil or a synthetic oil, (B) an antioxidant, (C) a polymerization inhibitor consisting of a compound of the formula at least one of R to R is an [(alkyl-substituted)hydroxyphenyl-substituted]alkyl, preferably an alkyl and the others are each H or an alkyl} and, as necessary, (D) a phosphorus- or sulfur-based anti-abrasion agent and (E) an epoxy-based hydrochloric acid scavenger. The amount of the component C is preferably 0.1-5wt.% based on the component A.
