    Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect even a low torque valve with high accuracy, by providing a load cell detecting the thrust force generated in a rotary shaft on the basis of the angle of inclination of the tooth trace of a helical gear between a transmission housing and the rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 10 and a counter shaft 14 are connected through a pair of the connection gears 24, 26 fixed to both shafts and always meshing with each other. Further, the thrust force F generated in the counter shaft 14 on the basis of the angle alpha of inclination of the tooth trace of each of helical gears 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38 is detected by the load cells 76, 78 provided between a housing 22 and the counter shaft 14. The output signals of the load cells 76, 78 are supplied to an arithmetic unit 80 to calculate input shaft torque and output shaft torque T0. Since the thrust force F increases and decreases in relation to the transmission torque transmitted to the counter shaft 14, the input shaft torque and the output shaft torque T0 can be detected from the thrust force F. That is, since the twist of a rotary shaft such as an output shaft 12 having high rigidity is not utilized, even a low torque value is obtained with high accuracy.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the lever operating force, by assembling a valve spool and a piston to the first and second shafts, which relatively rotate through operation of the operating lever, and assembling the valve spool in a hole within the piston in a slidable manner together with selectively controlling the supplying and discharging of working oil. CONSTITUTION:When an operating lever is operated in the shifting direction, a shaft 11 is rotated by the predetermined amount. At the same time, an arm member 17 is also rotated, and a valve spool 15 is slided in the axial direction. When the operation is just started, since the torque is small, the piston 14 slides as an integrated body with the spool 15. At the same time, a connecting shaft 16 and the second shaft 12 are rotated, thereby starting the shift-head operation. Then, the torque of the shaft 11 increases, while a spring member 19 is deflected. Thus, a relative deviation between the piston 14 and the valve spool 15 is generated. As a result, owing to the combination of the oil supplying passages, the working oil is supplied to an oil chamber R2, thereby correcting the deviation. In addition, since the shaft 12 is rotated by this sliding of the piston 14, the shifting operation is aided in correspondence to the torque of the shaft 11, or the operation is lightened.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent shock due to gear change by providing an auxiliary clutch, an intermediate shaft and an one-way clutch between an input shaft and an output shaft whereby arranging a clutch for engine braking in paralle with the one-way clutch. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary clutch 54 and an intermediate shaft 31 are provided between an input shaft 22 and an output shaft 30 wherein an one-way clutch 85 transmitting power to the output shaft (30) side is provided between the intermediate shaft 31 and the output shaft 30 or the input shaft 22. In this constitution, the auxiliary clutch 54 is connected with a main clutch 12 in a similar manner as in series whereby the auxiliary clutch 54 is conditioned to a semi-engagement while the main clutch 12 is maintained in an engagement when paired gears are changed over. Accordingly, a delicate timing control required between both clutches 54 and ? is eliminated, thereby dissolving both shock due to change gear and responded revolving speed of an engine. On the other hand, as a clutch 85 is available, satisfactory inertia running can be accomplished as far as the clutch 85 for engine braking is not actuated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate shock due to gear change by providing an auxiliary clutch between an inpnt shaft and an output shaft whereby conditioning the auxiliary clutch to a semi-engagement while a main clutch is being maintained in an engagement when paired gears for power transmission are changed over. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary clutch 54 is provided between an inpnt shaft 22 and an output shaft 30 so as to be connected with a main clutch in a similar manner as in series. And when the piared gear of a transmission gear 14 is changed over, the auxiliary clutch 54 is conditioned to a semi-engagement while the main clutch 12 is being maintained in an engagement by a shift control device 102. As a result, when the transmission gear 14 is shifted, a vehicle is driven by the power transmitted by way of the auxiliary clutch 54. Owing to this constitution, a delicate timing control required between the main clutch 12 and the auxiliary clutch 54 is eliminated, thereby eliminating shock due to change gear and responded revolving speed of an engine.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To promote the improvement of durability of a synchromeshing device, by changing a pressure of working fluid so that a shocking load applied to the synchromeshing device is relaxed in accordance with the operative condition of a hydraulic actuator detected by an operative condition detecting sensor. CONSTITUTION:An operative condition detecting means comprises a potentiometer 102, differentiating circuit 108, setter 112, etc., and if an output rod 32 of the first shift cylinder 28 is detected to be in a high moving speed by the operative condition detecting means, a solenoid pressure control valve 100 controls an oil line 18 to a low pressure of oil. And if a synchromeshing device 90 in a transmission 26 is detected to be in a balk condition, in which its synchronizing ring 92 is pressed to a driven side gear 98, that is, in a condition that the output rod 32 almost stops its movement, the solenoid pressure control valve 100 increases the pressure of oil. In this way, the synchromeshing device, which can be suppressed from a shocking load being applied due to a rapid rise of working fluid pressure and inertia of a shift member or the like, improves durability.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep a difference of number of revolution of both shaft members in fixed value by introducing oil pressure of an oil pimp which is driven by the difference of number of revolution of both the shaft members in a hydraulically actuated clutch to which a first shaft member and a second shaft member are connected according to the oil pressure of a servo oil pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:A clutch drum 30 is provided on a first shaft member 10, and a pump housing 40 is fixed on a pump-mounted flange 22 of a second shaft member 22. And a multi-plate clutch 37 is provided between these, a servo piston 50 is driven by oil pressure of a servo oil pressure chamber 54, and a clutch is connected. Further, gears 42 and 44 are formed in the pump housing 40, an internal gear pump 46 which is driven by relative rotation between the pump housing 40 and the second shaft member 20 is provided, and generated oil pressure is introduced into the servo oil pressure chamber 54. Accordingly, the more a difference of number of revolution between the first shaft member 10 and the second shaft member 20 is, the more the transmitted torque is, and a difference of number of revolution can be avoided from exceeding fixed value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep the responsiveness constant and to accomplish suitable engagement control by moving an always positioned piston to the engagement starting point regardless of abrasion of a friction member when a clutch is engaged. CONSTITUTION:The first piston 46 is always positioned at the engagement starting point where engagement can be immediately started regardless of the abrasion state of a friction member, that is, the first rotor 38. Therefore, when the first control valve 78 and the second control valve 84 are positioned by a controller 80, the first piston 46 advances with an increase in oil pressure, so that the first rotor 38, a pressing plate 42 and a friction plate 40 start frictional engagement to start transmission of power. Accordingly, regardless of the abrasion state of the first rotor 38, the response time of the first clutch 22 is kept constant to avoid scattering in engagement control characteristic.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suitably improve a speed change feeling, by providing a first clutch between an engine and an input shaft, and also providing a second clutch adapted to be brought into a semi-engaged condition in a period of shifting, between the engine and an output shaft. CONSTITUTION:A first clutch 22 is provided between an engine 10 and an input shaft 18. The first clutch 22 includes a one-way clutch 20, and is adapted to be normally engaged during running a vehicle. On the other hand, a second clutch 24 is provided between the engine 10 and an output shaft 56. The second clutch 24 is adapted to be brought into a semi-engaged condition in a period of shifting of a transmission 14. With this arrangement, a rotational speed of the engine 10 is reduced by the semi-engaged condition of the second clutch 24, thereby cutting off power transmission through the one-way clutch 20. During this time, a gear ratio of the transmission 14 is changed by operating a synchronizing device without controlling to disengage the first clutch 22. Accordingly, even in the period of shifting, the power is transmitted by the second clutch 24, thereby suitably improving a speed change feeling.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a double clutch device in size and thickness by disposing the first clutch disc and the second clutch disc on both sides of a common friction plate in a hydraulic double clutch device. CONSTITUTION:In a double clutch device 12, the first rotor 38 and the second rotor 30 are disposed on both sides of a friction plate 40 as a common friction plate, so that the first and second rotors 38, 30 are driven in the direction of the facing to each other by the first piston 46 and the second piston 50. Accordingly, a partition wall for dividing the interior of a clutch case 26 and a seal member are not required, and only one oil path may be disposed in an output shaft 18, so that the double clutch device 12 can be reduced in size and thickness as a whole to attain high loading ability for a vehicle.
