    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the variation of a resiliency to push out a piston rod by providing a gas substance sealed in a pressure chamber, which moves a valve body to the orifice opening side when it is expanded, and moves the valve body to the orifice closing side when it is contracted. CONSTITUTION:When a damper stay 10 is between the most expanded condition and the most contracted condition, and when it is contracted, the pressure of a high pressure gas chamber 24 is raised by the Boyle's law, and the pressure of a high pressure gas chamber 22 is reduced. As a result, since a small piston 27 is going to move in the direction of the arrow A, the blocking of an orifice 26 by a seal rubber 29 is continued, and by this blocking, the resiliency of the damper stay 10 is increased, and the contraction of the damper stay 10 is made difficult compared to the condition of no blocking. Furthermore, when the damper stay 10 is expanded thereafter, the blocking and the opening of the orifice 26 are repeated, and the damper stay 10 is made in an expanded condition.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of speed change shock by adjusting the pressure to a pressure in the range where a valve mechanism is closed by retreating an anchor piston against a spring in the state where a drum revolves in the energizing direction in the same direction to the direction of the acting force. CONSTITUTION:The oil pressure supplied into a servopiston 7 for tightening a band brake 1 is adjusted by a brake control valve 17, having the oil pressure for an anchor piston 11 on a supporting point side as signal oil pressure. In this case, if the signal pressure is discharged, the pressure for the servopiston 7 is set low, and the pressure advances the anchor piston 11 when a drum 2 rotates in the denergizing direction, and the oil pressure opens a valve mechanism, and in the state where the drum 2 revolves in the denergizing direction in the same direction to the acting force, the anchor piston 11 is retreated against a spring 15, and pressure-adjusts the valve mechanism in the closing direction. Therefore, the band brake exhibits the correct unidirectional characteristic, and the generation of speed change shock can be reduced without carrying out the special timing adjustment.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce costs of parts by integrally coupling a counter drive gear mounted rotatably on a portion of a case through a bearing with one side of a carrier, sun gear or ring gear. CONSTITUTION:A counter drive gear 17 is mounted rotatably on a retainer 13 integral with a case 12 through a bearing 18 to be integrated with a carrier 24 by a pinion pin 22. Thus, when a pinion 21 revolves to rotate the carrier 24, power is transmitted to a counter shaft 11 through a drive gear 17 integral with the carrier. Then rotational moment is received by a case 12 through the retainer 13. Hence, when the drive gear 17 is supported against rotational moment, a bearing 28 supports the carrier 24 and is kept away from the drive gear 17, so that stress based on the rotational moment generated in the drive gear 17 is reduced and a compact bearing will do.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the construction by furnishing a two sets of planetary gearing mechanism of double pinion type, coupling No.1 carrier with No.2 sun gear and No.1 sun gear with No.2 carrier, and operating a clutch and brake selectively. CONSTITUTION:Existing invention includes No.1 planetary gearing mechanism 1 on the input shaft 13 side and No.2 planetary gearing mechanism 2 on the output shaft 15 side, wherein No.1 carrier 11 is coupled solidly with No.2 sun gear 4 and No.1 sun gear 3 with No.2 carrier 12, and No.1-3 clutches C1-C3 and No.1-3 brakes B1-B3 are put on selectively to perform multi-step speed change with six steps forward. For ex., C1, B1 causes the first speed, C2, B2 the second, C3, B1 the third, C2, B3 the fourth, C2, C3 the fifth, C3, B33 the sixth, and C1, B2 backward. This simplifies the total configuration, and multi-step speed change with five or six steps forward can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To widen the width of change gear ratio by so constituting that ring gears are fixed to an output shaft, and two carriers are integrally fixed, and further that each sun gear is enabled to connect to an input member via a clutch means, and also is enabled to be fixed via a brake means. CONSTITUTION:In the state in which carriers 11, 12 are fixed, when either one of sun gears 3, 4 is connected to an input member and the other one is fixed, the forward first or third speed having the largest change gear ratio can be obtained in accordance with the gear ratio of a planetary gear mechanism 1, 2 executing speed reduction. Further, when either of the carriers 11, 12 and sun gears 3, 4 is connected together to the input member, since the whole rotates integrally, the forward fifth speed in which the change gear ratio is 1 can be obtained. And when either one of the sun gears 3, 4 is fixed, and the other sun gear is connected to the input member, the overdrive stage in which the change gear ratio is less than 1 or the backward stage can be obtained, depending on the procedure from which side of the planetary gear mechanism the input is made.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To insure the stability of running at above a fixed car speed by giving an oil pressure signal to a shift valve switchcontrolled by a solenoid valve at the fixed car speed and compensating for electrical control by mechanical control. CONSTITUTION:When the number of revolution of output shaft or car speed is above a preset fixed car speed, a governor pressure or a pressure which corresponds to the number of revolution of output shaft, is given as an oil pressure signal from a governor valve 25 to an inhibition valve 500, with the result that the valve 500 operates, and an oil pressure signal is given from the valve 500 to the third shift valve 401. The so-called second oil pressure signal acts so as to maintain the operating condition of the third shift valve 401 resulting from an oil pressure signal sent from the third solenoid valve 402. Consequently, even if the third solenoid valve 402 is switched due to any electrical disturbance or abnormality, or the oil pressure signal does not act on the third shift valve 401, the shift valve 401 maintains the previous conditions, and the speed change cannot be generated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suitable improve a speed change feeling, by bringing a second clutch into a semi-engaged condition during cutting off power transmission through a one-way clutch upon shifting a transmission. CONSTITUTION:A first clutch 22 is provided between a crank shaft 16 and an input shaft 18, while a second clutch 24 is provided between the crank shaft 16 and an output shaft 56. During running a vehicle, power of an engine 10 is transmitted through a one-way clutch 22 to the input shaft 18. Upon shifting a transmission 14, the second clutch 14 is brought into a semi-engaged condition during cutting off the power transmission through the one-way clutch 22. Accordingly, even in a period of shifting of the transmission 14, the power of the engine may be transmitted through the second clutch 24, thereby suitably improving a speed change feeling upon shifting the transmission.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the diameter of an output shaft and to reduce the outside diameter and weight of a device by forming an oil path of the first clutch in a housing of a speed change gear and an oil path of the second clutch in an output shaft, so that only one oil path is provided in the output shaft. CONSTITUTION:The first clutch 22 is disposed on the speed change gear side in a clutch case 26, and the first clutch 22 is connected directly to an oil path 44 formed in a housing 43 of a speed change gear. The second clutch 24 is disposed on the engine side in the clutch case 26, and the second clutch 24 and the oil path formed in the housing of the speed change gear are connected to each other through an oil path 48 formed in the output shaft 18. Thus, only one oil path for the second clutch 24 is disposed in the output shaft 18, so that the diameter of the output shaft 18 can be reduced, and the outside diameter and weight of a double clutch device can be also reduced.

CONSTITUTION:In an electromagnetic powder type clutch 14, a thick-walled cylindrical outer yoke 24 including an annular excitation coil 22 is connected through a first disc-like connecting member 20 to a crank shaft 12. An inner yoke 28 is fixedly connected through a second connecting member 26 to the first connecting member 20 to define an annular space between the inner circumferential surface of the outer yoke 24 and the outer circumferential surface of the inner yoke 28. A thin-walled cylindrical member 30 is engaged in the annular space between the outer yoke 24 and the inner yoke 28 to define an outer gap 32 and an inner gap 34 for receiving a magnetic powder between the cylindrical member 30 and the inner circumferential surface of the outer yoke 24 and between the cylindrical member 30 and the outer circumferential surface of the inner yoke 28, respectively.
