Abstract: The present invention provides a method for firmly and inexpensively bonding at low temperature a polymer film to another polymer film or to a glass substrate without the use of an organic adhesive. A method for bonding a polymer film includes a step (S1) for forming a first inorganic material layer on part or all of a first polymer film; a step (S3) for forming a second inorganic material layer on part or all of a second polymer film; a step (S2) for surface-activating the surface of the first inorganic material layer by bombarding with particles having a predetermined kinetic energy; a step (S4) for surface-activating the surface of the second inorganic material layer by bombarding with particles having a predetermined kinetic energy; and a step (S5) for abutting the surface-activated surface of the first inorganic material layer against the surface-activated surface of the second inorganic material layer and bonding the first polymer film and second polymer film together.

Abstract: A non-woven textile may be formed from a plurality of thermoplastic polymer filaments. The non-woven textile may have a first region and a second region, with the filaments of the first region being fused to a greater degree than the filaments of the second region. A variety of products, including apparel (e.g., shirts, pants, footwear), may incorporate the non-woven textile. In some of these products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another textile element to form a seam. More particularly, an edge area of the non- woven textile may be heatbonded with an edge area of the other textile element at the seam. In other products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another component, whether a textile or a non-textile.

Abstract: The laser head comprises two half shell parts (16) radially separated from one another that limit a reception area for tubular parts (12, 13) to be welded. Number of laser sources (17) are arranged in the shell parts in such a way that the laser beams originating from the laser source overlaps in the reception area and the welding of the parts is simultaneously carried out in the reception area. The reception area encloses a connecting section and/or a connecting area (15) during the welding process. The shell parts are two half shells. The laser head comprises two half shell parts (16) radially separated from one another that limit a reception area for tubular parts (12, 13) to be welded. Number of laser sources (17) are arranged in the shell parts in such a way that the laser beams originating from the laser source overlaps in the reception area and the welding of the parts is simultaneously carried out in the reception area. The reception area encloses a connecting section and/or a connecting area (15) during the welding process. The shell parts are two half shells. The shell parts radially press the parts to be connected in the connection area. The laser beam is directed on a bridge element. A radial annular gap is placed between two axially overlapping end portions of the tubular parts. An independent claim is included for a method for connecting a connecting element or branching units with an end of a thermoplastic polymer containing tube.
