    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a triggering unit and a system for activating an oxygen scavenging composition at a high speed. SOLUTION: The triggering unit can be operated at a high temperature, and includes a plurality of UV lamps each having a high output intensity of about 10 to 35 mW/cm 2 . The triggering unit can activate a film at a speed of about 20 to 100 fps (feet/s). A mercury amalgam lamp is useful when the invention is performed. In addition, the system includes a film-tensioning system so as to easily trigger a UV dosage control system and a high-speed film.
