摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-resistant resin compsn. that is excellent in optical properties (e.g. clarity), heat resistance, and moldability, and has low water absorption properties. SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises an arom. vinyl/maleimide copolymer (1) which is formed by at least copolymerizing arom vinyl monomer (A) and maleimide monomers, (B) and prepf. comprises 50-97 wt.% units derived from the monomer A, 3-50 wt.% units derived from the monomer B, and 0-20 wt.% units derived from another monomer (C) copolymerizable with the foregoing two monomers and an arom. vinyl polymer (2) obtd. by polymerizing a monomer component contg. 85 wt.% or higher monomer A, provided polymer (1) and polymer (2) are thermodynamically compatible with each other.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition which can develop excellent resistance to heat and impact and good moldability by formulating a resin composition containing a rubbery polymer having specific structure and a maleimide copolymer having specific physical properties at a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This resin composition comprises (A) 5-60 pts.wt. of a resin composition prepared by grafting a monomer mixture to a rubbery polymer with a weight-average molecular weight of 100,000 calculated on the polystyrene soluble in toluene, the gel content of >=40wt.% and a degree of swelling of 15-50 times in toluene and (B) 95-40 pts.wt. of a maleimide copolymer of >=0.1wt.% of residual maleimide monomer content,

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ABS resin composition containing a specific maleimide compound as an essential component and having excellent properties to prevent the short-shot in blow molding and give a uniform wall thickness in thermal forming and contour extrusion molding. SOLUTION: The acetone-extracted component of this composition contains a maleimide compound unit expressed by formula (R is H, a 1-18C alkyl, phenyl or a nucleus-substituted phenyl; the wavy line is a polymer chain) and having at least two glass transition temperatures within the range of 1.00 to 170 deg.C. The composition preferably further contains a methyl methacrylate-alkyl acrylate copolymer. The composition is useful as a molding material for contour extrusion molding and thermal forming such as blow molding, air pressure forming and vacuum forming.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin composition, excellent in heat resistance, mechanical properties, fluidity, etc., and useful as automotive parts, etc., by blending a thermoplastic resin composition containing a copolymer containing imide groups with a filter and a specific additive in respective specified proportions. SOLUTION: This fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin composition comprising a copolymer containing imide groups [preferably a composition comprising 10-90wt.% copolymer containing the imide groups, 10-90wt.% graft copolymer and 0-80wt.% aromatic vinylic copolymer] with (B) 3-100 pts.wt. filler (preferably a glass fiber, a carbon fiber or an aramid fiber) and (C) 0.005-10 pts.wt. one or more of additives of (i) a higher fatty acid amide (preferably lauramide, stearamide, etc.), (ii) a higher fatty acid metallic salt (preferably magnesium stearate, etc.) and (iii) a carboxylic acid ester (preferably stearyl stearate, etc.).
