Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition of an acoustic protective layer which satisfies demanded characteristics in the application of a probe for a two-dimensional array ultrasonic diagnostic unit for living bodies. SOLUTION: As a surface protection layer which is formed on the surface of a two-dimensional ultrasonic array comprising a plurality of piezoelectric oscillators placed two-dimensionally, a polybutadiene-based rubber synthesized by adding 100 wt.% polybutadiene and 1-5 wt.% glycerin is used. Abstract:
A transducer holder for holding a transducer in signal-receiving contact with a patient's body, the holder comprising: a base adherently attachable to the patient's skin; and a retainer attached or attachable to the base; wherein, in use, the retainer holds the transducer in signal-receiving contact with the patient's body and retains the transducer in the holder.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly measure the pressure distribution in the surface of an ultrasonic probe. SOLUTION: Piezoelectric sensors having a piezoelectric thin film formed over a film-shaped substrate are arranged in an array state on the surface of the ultrasonic probe, and a sensor output signal processing unit outputs, on the basis of the output signals coming from individual piezoelectric sensors S1, S2 to S9, the pressure measured on and coming from the individual piezoelectric sensors, to an image processing unit. This image processing unit generates a histogram of the pressures on the piezoelectric sensors S1, S2 to S9, and outputs the histogram together with ultrasonic tomographic images obtained by making an X-axis as the piezoelectric sensor arrangement and a Y-axis as the pressure, to a monitor. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire mechanical motion data in order to acquire a data aggregate without motion in relation to acquisition of physiological gate-style CT and other image modality, and to reflect the mechanical motion data to an image-reconstructing step in order to compensate the motion. SOLUTION: The motion data and image data are simultaneously acquired on real time. The motion data provide correct information which is approximately immediate regarding a condition and a position of a subject (22) which is intend to cause motion. It is applicable particularly for cardiac CT imaging or MR imaging and other physiological gate-style acquisition. In an example of cardiac imaging, the motion data comprises information regarding a size and a position of the heart in cardiac phase (diastolic and systolic phases) in each cardiac cycle.
