PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoconductor which is substantially nontoxic and environmentally safe and has a charge transport layer having excellent wear characteristics. SOLUTION: The photoconductor includes a supporting substrate, an optional ground plane layer, an optional hole blocking layer, a photogenerating layer, and at least one charge transport layer, wherein the charge transport layer contains a polyalkylene glycol benzoate. An electrophotographic photosensitive member capable of outputting an image in which a defect such as a ghost is suppressed even in a high-temperature-and-high-humidity environment, and in which a defect such as a change in density due to an abrupt change in light-area potential at an initial stage or a ghost due to long-term durable use is suppressed even in a low-humidity environment; and a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus each having the electrophotographic photosensitive member; are provided. The electrophotographic photosensitive member has a layer which comrises a compound having a specific structure between a support and a charge-generating layer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that is superior in not only cracking properties and wear resistances, but also in sensitivity characteristics, and is capable of maintaining proper image characteristics over a prolonged period of time. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer, containing at least a charge generating agent, a hole transport agent and a binder resin on a conductive substrate, wherein the solubility of the hole transport agent in oleic acid triglyceride is set to a value in the range of 5-35 wt.% and the photosensitive layer contains a compound represented by Formula (1), as an additive. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image carrier which comprises a cross-linked surface layer and a photosensitive layer having excellent flaw resistance and abrasion resistance, and satisfactory electric properties, and can provide high-quality images over a long period of time, and to provide a process cartridge, an image forming apparatus, and an image forming method thereof. SOLUTION: The electrostatic latent image carrier comprises a support and at least the cross-linked surface layer and the photosensitive layer on the support, the cross-linked surface layer containing a reactant from a radical polymerization compound having three or more functionalities with no charge transport structure and a monofunctional radical polymerization compound with a charge transport structure, and at least two kinds of antioxidants.
