    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain switching by electric components in case of the optical fiber transmission by switching the transmission line not by a transmission line part but by the inside of a station. CONSTITUTION:If a station ST2 is faulty completely, a signal from the station ST2 is lost at a main transmission line side and a detector DT1 of a station ST3 has no signal and its output is 0. Thus, a changeover switch S1 is turned on to the position of a repeater RP and a switch S4 is turned off. As a result, a station ST3 is connected by the path of sub-transmission line R2 S2 RP TM D1 main transmission line. The switch S4 is turned off and no signal is transmitted to the station ST2. The detector DT2 of the station ST1 has no signal and then the changeover switch S2 is turned on to the position of a transmitter TM. As a result, the station ST1 is connected in the path of main transmission line R1 S1 TM S2 RP S4 D2 sub-transmission line. Then only the station ST2 is disconnected and the loop back is established.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the loop transmission system and to reduce its cost by connecting two branching filters to right and left transmission lines of each node station respectively, transmitting a signal from the node station through a looped transmission line clockwise and counterclockwise, and returning the signal when a circuit becomes faulty. CONSTITUTION:A two-way wavelength multiplex transmission line is provided between each node station and its adjacent node station. This basic transmission line consists of a branching filter 61 and an optical fiber 62 and allows two-way transmission with the one optical fiber so that a signal with wavelength 1 is transmitted counterclockwise and a signal with 2 is transmitted clockwise. If the optical fiber is broken at, for example, a point 30, the signals are returned 31 by the stations at both terminals of the section wherein the trouble occurs to set a loop transmission line. Thus, circuit trouble is handled even with one transmission line and the station becomes unable to receive the signal only change connection of its exchange slightly to attain alteration into the return constitution easily in case of circuit trouble.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the fault of a node from having the influence upon the whole of a system and transmit an emergency signal preferentially by removing a transceiver for reception and providing a filter on a transmission line and providing a monitor bit storage device in a controller. CONSTITUTION:In case of the transmission of information from a terminal machine 31 to a terminal machine 33, a node 21 sets precedence and puts a number into a monitor bit 201 and inserts transmission and reception addresses and data and sets a flag for acceptance confirmation and starts the transmission to a transmission line 11. The transmission direction is defined as the counterclockwise direction. A receiving node 23 takes in them and erases the signal on the transmission line by a filter 43 after confirmation of addresses. If a node 22 transmits a signal having a priority higher than that of the signal which the node 21 transmits, the latter signal is erased by a filter 42, and the node 21 cannot confirm acception and transmits the signal again. If the node 23 is broken down, the monitor bit 201 of the signal is erased in the second or following rounds by one of nodes 21, 22, and 24 stored in a monitor bit storage device 71.
