    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system capable of implementing charging at a high charging current, using a switching element having a small capacity.SOLUTION: A charging control circuit 150 switching-controls FETs 103, 105 by a PWM control system to charge a battery pack 21 including a lithium secondary battery capable of quick charging. The charging control circuit sets a switching frequency at 200 kHz during constant-current charging and sets the frequency at 400 kHz around the end of constant-current charging. Switching of the switching frequency is implemented by a frequency switching circuit 130, based on a switching signal generated when an output voltage reaches a predetermined value. The switching signal is generated so that a protective circuit of the battery pack comes into no action due to output ripple voltage.
