PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coffee roasting apparatus for home use using a microwave oven.SOLUTION: The inside of a container and the whole of the inside of the lid are coated with a magnetic material and sintered, the ceramic is heated by a microwave of a microwave oven. The microwave of the microwave oven has a wavelength converted into infrared rays, far-infrared rays in the ceramic container, and roasts coffee bean in the inside of the ceramic container. The coffee bean is stirred and roasted with rotation of the coffee bean by installing a rotating fin 4 on the ceramic container 1 using a rotating axis 7 of a turn table in using a microwave oven of a model provided with the turn table. The coffee bean is roasted uniformly by using a duckboard which is obtained by coating a magnetic material and then sintering in the ceramic container in using a microwave oven model without a turn table.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that requirements including the uniform roasting of coffee at a high temperature in a short time and the supply of air (oxygen) are necessary to satisfy demands where the extract of the intrinsic flavor of the coffee and the production of a new characteristic flavor by deep roasting or ultradeep roasting are required to expand the demands of the coffee. SOLUTION: This method for roasting the coffee comprises uniformly roasting the coffee with a high-humidity hot gas produced by spraying water on a burner from a high-pressure nozzle from an ordinary roasting state to an ultradeep roasting state in a short time under the control of temperature, humidity, gas volume, water volume and the like.
