Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a carbon fiber composite material in which a carbon nanofiber is uniformly dispersed. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the carbon fiber composite material includes a first process, a second process and a third process. In the first process, a first mixture 32b is obtained by mixing a paraffin oil 50 and the carbon nanofiber 40 having a mean diameter of 0.5-500 nm. In the second process, a second mixture 34b is obtained by mixing ethylene-propylene rubber 30 and the first mixture 32b. In the third process, the carbon fiber composite material 36 dispersed by the carbon nanofiber is obtained by tightly milling the second mixture 34b at a roll distance of 0.5 mm or less with an open roll 2 of 0-50°C. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of attenuating a radiation dose from soil, a radiation-attenuating material, and a method of manufacturing the radiation-attenuating material.SOLUTION: A method of attenuating a radiation dose from soil is characterized by spraying, to soil 1 contaminated with radioactive materials, a particulate radiation-attenuating member 50a in which 10 parts by mass or more and 120 parts by mass or less of a carbon material comprising at least one of graphene and carbon nanotubes are mixed in 100 parts by mass of an elastomer. Since the carbon material comprising at least one of graphene and carbon nanotubes has effect to shield radiation R, the radiation dose from the soil 1 can be attenuated by spraying the particulate radiation-attenuating member 50a to the soil 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber composite material in which a carbon nano-fiber is uniformly dispersed and a process for producing the carbon fiber composite material. SOLUTION: The carbon fiber composite material includes an ethylene-propylene rubber, nonpolar liquid rubber, and carbon nano-fiber with an average diameter of 0.5-500 nm. The first process for making the carbon fiber composite material includes a first step of mixing an ethylene-propylene rubber 30 and a nonpolar liquid rubber 50 to obtain a first mixture 32a, a second step of mixing the first mixture 32a and a carbon nano-fiber 40 to obtain a second mixture 34a, and a third step of tight milling the second mixture 34a by open rolls to obtain the carbon fiber composite material 36.
