摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a local coating composition useful for xeroderma, ichthyosis, pimple, psoriasis, eczema, wrinkle, etc., by using a specific oxa-diacid as an active component. SOLUTION: This composition used a suitable local coating excipient and a compound of the formula [R4 is (CR5 R6 -CR7 R8 X1 )n -CR9 R10 -C(=X2 )X3 R11 (n) is 1-18; R1 to R11 are each H, a substitute of a non-hydrogenous atom; X, X1 to X3 , Y and Z are each O, NH or S]. Preferably, 3,6-dioxaoctadioic acid, 3,6,9-trioxaundecanedioic acid, 3,6,9,12-tetraoxatetradecanedioic acid, etc., is used as the compound of the formula. A blending amount of the compound of the formula into the composition is about 0.1-95wt.%. The composition is effective for abnormal corneal layer of epidermis, dandruff, a simple chronic disease of lichen, Darier's disease, cornified fiber, lentigo, etc.

摘要： PURPOSE: To prepare a cosmetic composition, locally usable in human skin and capable of imparting effective effects of appearance thereto by dissolving ascorbic acid in a solvent comprising at least two cosolvents. CONSTITUTION: This cosmetic composition comprises ascorbic acid, a first cosolvent, preferably water and a second cosolvent which is a water-miscible organic solvent, preferably a mixture of at least two organic solvents mutually miscible with water. The composition stably comprises the ascorbic acid at a high concentration so as to impart beauty effects to an appearance of skin. A mixture of propylene glycol with ethanol is preferred as the second cosolvent. The cosmetic composition preferably comprises 1-10wt.% ascorbic acid, >=12wt.% water, 20-25wt.% propylene glycol and 55-85wt.% ethanol.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunscreen emulsion composition providing an improved sunscreen protection, and to provide a method for protecting skin. SOLUTION: This sunscreen emulsion composition has an inner discontinuous phase and an outer continuous phase. The inner discontinuous phase and/or the outer continuous phase has a sunscreen active therein. The inner discontinuous phase is generally dispersed in the outer continuous phase, and is in a form of discrete droplets having a multimodal droplet size distribution. There is also provided a method of protecting the skin from overexposure to the sun in which the composition is applied topically to the skin. There is also provided a method of enhancing the performance of a sunscreen emulsion by forming the inner discontinuous phase as a multiplicity of droplets having a multimode droplet size.
