PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dialysis system by which a patient can receive an optimum dialysis treatment at home.SOLUTION: A dialysis system is equipped with a dialyzer 104 including a wireless interface receiver coded with an address or a personal identification number. The dialyzer receives wirelessly blood pressure data from a blood pressure monitor or a patient's weight data from a scale together with an address or a personal identification number, generates ultra-filtration removal data in a treatment performed by the dialyzer, transmits UF removal data and the blood pressure data or the patient's weight data to a server 114, and the coded address or personal identification number assures that the blood pressure data or the patient's weight has been received by the wireless interface receiver, and not by another receiver of the dialyzer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home medical device system which controls a water treatment device integrally with a dialysis machine in order to generate dialysate or the like to be infused into a patient.SOLUTION: A home medical device system includes a home therapy machine 100 for performing a home therapy on a patient; a user interface 122 operably connected to the home therapy machine, the user interface receiving operator inputs; a water treatment device 10 in fluid communication with the home therapy machine; and a data connection between the home therapy machine and the water treatment device. The home therapy machine transmits data via the connection to the water treatment device for control of the water treatment device. The data is provided based on at least one of the operator inputs received via the user interface.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic peritoneal dialysis system determining the optimum dwell time of dialysis fluid.SOLUTION: An ultrafiltration ( "UF" ) evaluation method includes: ( i ) determining an amount of UF removed from a patient over a first dwell time; ( ii ) determining an amount of UF removed from the patient over a second different dwell time; ( iii ) determining an amount of UF removed from the patient over a third different dwell time; and ( iv ) fitting a curve to the amount of UF removed during the first, second and third dwell time. A peritoneal dialysis therapy generation method generates at least one peritoneal dialysis therapy regimen by using the curve determined according to the "UF" calculation method.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable formulations containing recombinant VWF.SOLUTION: The invention provides a long-term stable formulation of recombinant von-Willebrand factor (rVWF), and methods for producing and administering the formulation. A formulation of the invention comprises (a) rVWF; (b) a buffer agent; (c) one or more salts; (d) optionally a stabilizing agent; and (e) optionally a surfactant; and in the formulation the rVWF is selected from the group consisting of a) the amino acid sequence set out in SEQ ID NO: 3; b) a biologically active analog, fragment or variant of a); c) a polypeptide encoded by the polynucleotide set out in SEQ ID NO: 1; d) a biologically active analog, fragment or variant of c); and e) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide that hybridizes to the polynucleotide set out in SEQ ID NO: 1 under moderately stringent hybridization conditions.
