    摘要: NEW MATERIAL:Titled simple glucan wherein two to three beta-1,6-bonded glucose molecules are bonded to the main chain by beta-1,6-bond per two beta-1,3-glucoxide- bonded glucose units constituting the main chain. USE:Antitumor agent, prophilactic against infectious diseases such as hepatitis and pneumonia, caused by viral or bacterial infection resulting from the decline of physical stamina or immunity strength. PREPARATION:Cultured mycelia of Choray Basidiomycetes [FERM-P5237(GU- 10)] are extracted with hot water. The extract is purified and concentrated by filtration, dialysis, etc., and mixed with a precipitant such as ethanol thereby to yield crude polysaccharide. Then, to the crude polysaccharide is added a quat. ammonium salt to precipitate impurities. To the resulting supernatant liquid is added a precipitant to precipitate purified polysaccharide. Next, this purified polysaccharide is dissolved in water and fractionated, for example, by gel filtration to yield simple glucan having the structure represented by the formula.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain the title novel compound useful as oral antitumor, liver function improving, antidepressive, and antihyperlipemia drugs, by reacting the reaction product between a specific polysaccharide and a cyanogen halide with a polypeptide. CONSTITUTION:The hydroxyl group in the side chain or cleaved terminal glucose ring of the (1-6) bond in (A) a polysaccharide, D-11 of the formula I or its derivative, obtained from mycelia is reacted with (B) a cyanogen halide or perhalogenate. (C) A polypeptide having terminal amino groups, e.g. bovine serum albumin, is reacted with the reaction product thus obtained to give the objective compound. The component (A) is preferably prepared by extracting and purifying a cultured mycelia of Ceriolus Versicolor IWADE.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To prepare a protein polysaccharide having remarkable anti-tumor activity, by extracting fruit bodies of a novel fungus belonging to Agaricus genus, with an aqueous medium. CONSTITUTION:Crushed fruit bodies of a novel fungus, Agricus heterosistes Heinem. et Goose (FERM-P No.4731) are extracted with 2-10 times volume of an aqueous medium at 50-100 deg.C for about 1-10 hours. The extract is added with an water-soluble organic solvent such as alcohol or acetone, or with a salt such as calcium chloride. The precipitate is filtered or centrifuged, washed with ether, and dried to obtain the objective substance in powder form. The substance is pale gray powder, and 1% aqueous solution thereof exhibits pH6.0. Color reactions: positive to anthrone sulfate reaction, phenol sulfate reaction, etc.; negative to orcinol reaction.
