Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation base material which is good for the growth of lawns and is simply obtained from paper and rice straws at a low cost, and to provide a lightweight, non-breakable plant cultivation container such as a flower pot. SOLUTION: The plant cultivation base material is obtained by immersing and fermenting rice straws or cut rice straw fibers in water, immersing cut paper in the obtained rice straw fermentation liquid to partially dissolve the cut paper, adding and kneading rice straw fibers 7 to the partially dissolved product 6', and then drying the kneaded product 11 in a mold; and the plant cultivation container is obtained by dehydrating and simultaneously pressing and drying the kneaded product 11 in the mold. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gravel or formed gravel having good adhesion efficiency of bacteria and excellent in water purification ability and excellent in water permeability, by effectively using an end material or a grinding waste generated at the time of processing of a Kimachi stone or a defective stone. SOLUTION: A working waste such as the end material or the grinding waste or the like of the Kimachi stone or the defective stone is crushed so as to obtain angular rubble or semi-angular rubble. The crushed rubble is fired at the temperatures of 800°C to 1,180°C so as to obtain a fired gravel material made of the Kimachi stone having a number of micropores. Furthermore, a formed fired gravel material made of the Kimachi stone is obtained by firing a granular molding formed by adding water to a Kimachi stone powder at the temperatures of 800°C to 1,180°C. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize remnants or grinding/polishing waste discharged in a large quantity in a step of mining or working KIMACHI stone which is one kind of tuffaceous sandstone and to provide a method of rousing the demand of KIMACHI stone. SOLUTION: The KIMACHI clay is obtained by adding 18-35 pts.wt. water into 100 pts.wt. powdery KIMACHI stone having a particle diameter of 2.60 mm under-size, preferably 0.85 under-size, stirring and mixing and next, kneading in a vacuum kneader. The KIMACHI clay fired product is obtained by forming the KIMACHI clay into an optional shape, drying and firing at 1,100-1,180°C. Further, the KIMACHI clay fired product having fumigated red or dark brown color is obtained by filling a carbon-containing material such as husks or pin needles in the surroundings in firing and being fired at 1,100-1,120°C. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique being an inexpensive, safe and easy method for treating sludge such as raw sludge and digested sludge produced in a sewage treatment plant or the like or bottom sludge and Shochu (Japanese spirits) lees sludge by being mixed with stone powder, granulating the mixture and burning them at a temperature without producing dioxin. SOLUTION: Powder of tuffaceous sandstone, andesite, andesitic tuff and granite, which are troublesome when treated, is fed to a mixer together with the sludge and agitated/mixed. Thus water content of the obtained mixture is decreased. The mixture is granulated and dried by calcination at low temperature of ≤300°C to obtain sludge granulated calcined product. Obtained sludge granulated calcined product is usable as a substitute of Akadama soil and further can be repeatedly granulated and calcined as a substitute of the stone powder after being mixed with the sludge. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an instrument for testing the load capacity of a ground anchor for being easily assembled and of forming the compact instrument. SOLUTION: The instrument for testing the load capacity of the ground anchor 3 including an engaging member 2 engaging the side of the anchor head 3b of the ground anchor 3, which is exposed from the surface of the ground, and a force application means 12 for applying a force to the engaging member 2, performs the load capacity test of the ground anchor 3 by applying the force from the force application means 12 to the engaging member 2 so that a load in the pull out direction acts on the ground anchor 3, wherein the engaging member 2 is a hook for freely engaging or disengaging the side of the anchor head 3b, and an amplifying mechanism is provided for amplifying and transmitting the force from the force application means 12 to the engaging member 2. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems with a conventional retightening device wherein, since a tightening screw part does not act directly on a washer and a tightening nut, a tightening effect cannot be obtained and the weight and size must be increased since the strength of the entire retightening device must be increased. SOLUTION: A device is attached to a screw part of a rod for tightening an object to be tightened for providing a pressing force to the object to be tightened. The device includes: a support member with a through screw hole which is screwed into and fixed to the screw; an elastic body disposed around the support member; a pressing member which receives the pressing force by the elastic body between the support member and itself and which is brought into contact directly or indirectly with the object to be tightened; and a holding part for engaging the support member and the pressing member in a compressed state and disengaging the engagement after the installation. The support member is provided with a bottom which is tightened and fixed directly or indirectly to the object to be tightened through the screw. The bottom of the pressing member is at the generally same level as the bottom of the support member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a structural defect of the conventional grout anchor work with which a prestress given to a head portion of an anchor affects a grout material invaded into a portion to be compressed thereby creating no compressed area in an unstable layer. SOLUTION: The grout material is placed under pressure to a casing pipe and an anchor body is formed in the bed rock, then a bellmouthed pipe comprising a pipe portion and an enlarged diameter portion is inserted to the casing pipe and the grout material between the casing pipe and the bellmouthed pipe is discharged through the pipe portion. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravel culture method solving the problem that conventional gravel culture employs ordinary gravel such as andesite and/or granite, the gravel itself only supports the roots of a grown plant and has little water absorption or root-adherent property, and that water is intermittently given, and therefore the plant runs dry when water supply gets scarce.SOLUTION: The gravel culture method comprises: planting a plant to be cultivated or sowing seeds of the plant in something charged with a porous granulated burnt product produced by granulating tuffaceous sandstone powder and burning the granulated one, into an unglazed flower pot or a container burnt using the tuffaceous sandstone powder; soaking the plant together with the flower pot or the container in a water tank in which water is shallowly filled; and cultivating the plant by mixing solid fertilizer with the porous granulated burnt product or adding liquid fertilizer to water for fertilizer application. The porous granulated burnt product made of tuffaceous sandstone powder has good absorption to naturally absorb water, so that the water is gradually supplied to the plant.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which treats sludge such as bottom material sludge, raw sludge and digestion sludge generated in a sewage treatment plant or the Shochu less sludge with an inexpensive, safe and simple method. SOLUTION: The powder of tuffaceous sandstone, andesite, andesite tuff, granite or a waste roof tile crushed product whose treatment has been a problem, a saponin-containing agent, and further, sludge are stirred and mixed by a mixing device so as to reduce a water content, further, the mixture is granulated, next, cement powder is charged thereto so as to be coated, and drying is performed, thus the granules are obtained. The obtained granules can be used for the substitution or covering for a sludge layer in a lake bottom, a pond bottom or the like by charging and refilling to the lake bottom, pond bottom or the like, or is usable as a waste water treatment agent, a soil conditioner and a landfill material.
