Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively relieve a shock received to a pedestrian when the pedestrian is bumped against a wiper pivot part from a rear end part of an engine hood by colliding with a vehicle. SOLUTION: This installing structure of the wiper pivot part 1 is constituted so that a forward projecting first cowl bracket 4 is arranged on a front wall 21 of a cowl 2 of an automobile, a backward projecting second cowl bracket 5 is arranged on a front wall 31 of an opening cowl 3 juxtaposed in front of the cowl 2, tip parts 41 and 51 of both cowl brackets 4 and 5 are vertically superposed, and the wiper pivot part 1 is fastened by a bolt member 6 integrally with the tip parts 41 and 51 of both cowl brackets 4 and 5, and is formed as a structure for separating both tip parts 41 and 51 by separating the bolt member 6 from the tip part 51 by moving by push-expanding a slit 7 by a bumping load of the pedestrian by arranging the slit 7 reaching the tip end of the cowl bracket 5 from a through hole 52 for inserting the bolt member 6 in the tip part 51 of the second cowl bracket 5.
