    摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to read image data of high resolution by using a line sensor. SOLUTION: A negative film is moved reciprocally by rotating and reversing a couple of film feed rollers 13 and 14. A line light measurement part 22 is arranged on a film carrier 11. On the going way of the negative film 10, the line light measurement part 22 makes a prescan. At the time of the prescan, light is measured to the overall width of the negative film 10 with a small number of pixels. A frame edge position is detected by using prescan data and on the basis of the edge position, a read area is specified. Prescan data in the read area are used to determine an electric charge storage time at the time of a main scan. A finish image is simulated and displayed by using the prescan data. Correction data are inputted when necessary by observing the finish image. On the basis of the correction data, the finish image is corrected and displayed. On the return way, the main scan of the read area is made in the electric charge storage time.
