    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture using a raw material that can be easily obtained by using gaseous trifluoromethyl polyfluoroalkyl ether in gas form at a room temperature as a gaseous fire extinguishing chemical substitute for a gaseous carbon halide fire extinguishing chemical, the use of which is regulated because it depletes the ozone layer. SOLUTION: To make an alternative gaseous fire extinguishing chemical having the capability comparable to the fire extinguishing capability of carbon halides under regulations, a gas whose main component is trifluoromethyl polyfluoroalkyl ether expressed by the formula CF3O-R is used. In the formula, R is CHFCF3 or CF=CF2. As a fire extinguishing chemical made from the trifluoromethyl polyfluoroalkyl ether has hydrogen atoms or a double bond on an α-carbon in the molecule, the atmospheric life is far shorter than perfluoro compounds and as it does not contain bromine atoms that may cause the depletion of the ozone layer, it is suitable as a substitute fire extinguishing chemical substituting for regulated carbon halides.

The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II (X is O, etc.), with an alkali metal fluoride (e.g. potassium fluoride) or an alkaline earth metal fluoride (e.g. calcium fluoride) in an aprotic polar solvent (e.g. monoglyme) or in the absence of a solvent preferably at 20-50 deg.C and subsequently reacting the reaction product with a sulfonic ester of the formula: R -OSO2 -R [R is a (substituted) aryl, etc.], preferably at 40-80 deg.C.

SOLUTION: This separating and determining method for fluorine-containing carboxylic acid comprises a mixing process mixing specimen liquid containing fluorine-containing carboxylic acid with elutant comprising aqueous acid, and a column separating process for separating the fluorine-containing carboxylic acid in the specimen by passing a resultant mixed liquid through a separation column filled with a hydrogen type weakly acidic cationic exchange body. Ion-exclusion chromatography for the separating and determining method for fluorine-containing carboxylic acid has a characteristic that the electric conductivity of discharged liquid flowing out of the separation column is measured, and the fluorine-containing carboxylic acid separated based on the ion chromatography is quantified.

SOLUTION: This perfluoro(piperazine)-N,N'-di-acetylfluoride is expressed by formula I (F is a fluorinated piperazine ring). The compound is obtained by fluorinating 1,4-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine expressed by formula II in liquid hydrogen fluoride through electrolysis wherein the concentration of the above piperazine derivative as a raw material, is in the range of 1-80 wt.% and the reaction is conducted with a current density of 0.01-10 A/dm2 and an electrolysis temperature of -20 to 50 deg.C, for a period of time such that the quantity of electricity is 80-200% of the theoretical quantity of electricity.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more simply obtain the subject compound that is useful as a detergent, a water repellent, a lubricant or a liquid crystal through a simple process by direct addition reaction of a perfluorocarboxylic acid to an olefin under heating in the absence of solvent. SOLUTION: One equivalent amount of a perfluoro group-bearing carboxylic acid of the formula: RfCO2 H [Rf is a (substituted) 1-20 perfluoroalkyl] and 1-6 equivalent amount, 3-4 equivalent amount of an olefin of the formula: CHR =CHR [R is H, a 1-5C alkyl; R is a (substituted) 1-20C alkyl] as octene-1 are heated without solvent at 80-180 deg.C, preferably at 120-160 deg.C to effect their regio-selective addition reaction thereby giving the objective compound such as 2-octyl perfluoromorpholinoacetate in high yield through a simpler process.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain a negative type resist material having high resolution and excellent drying etching resistance by using a polymer into which a specific structural unit is incorporated. CONSTITUTION:The polymer into which the structural unit expressed by the formula (Z is an arylene group) is incorporated is used as the resist material. Such polymer has a high sensitivity to high energy rays such as electron rays and gamma rays and is crosslinked when irradiated with such rays. The polymer is thus used as a negative type resist. Since the polymer hardly swells for its structure, the polymer is hardly affected by mol.wt. and mol.wt. distribution; the higher mol.wts. are more preferable in terms of the higher sensitivity to the electron rays. The excellent negative type resist having the high resolution is obtd. by using such polymer and is used for production of, for example, integrated circuits, magnetic bubbles, printing plates, shadow masks, etc.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject, compound in high yield by heating an acid iodide of a perfluorocarboxylic acid in a state thereof kept in contact with a specific metal and carrying out a decarbonylating reaction. SOLUTION: (A) An acid iodide of a perfluorocarboxylic acid represented preferably by the formula RfCOI (Rf is a perfluoroalkyl which may have a perfluoro cyclic substitution group containing a heteroatom as a ring constituent atom) is heated in a state thereof kept in contact with (B) a zero-valent metal having preferably 1-500 μm average particle diameter (e.g. copper or nickel) to carry out a decarbonylating reaction. In the above reaction, the component B is preferably used in an amount of 0.01-2 mol based on 1 mol of the component A. The reactional temperature is preferably 80-160 deg.C. The objective perfluoroalkyl iodide is not only utilized as a reagent for introducing the perfluoroalkyl group by itself but also useful as a synthetic intermediate for surfactants, medicines and agrochemicals.
