    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound with a low water content, by passing tertiary butanol formed by selective hydration of isobutylene in mixed olefin into the upper layer almost free from water. CONSTITUTION:A mixed olefin containing isobutylene and n-butene, and water are reacted, at a sufficient pressure for both of them to remain liquid of higher, in the presence of a heteropoly-acid having Mo, W, and V as condensation coordination elements, e.g., tungstosilicic acid, and a sufficient amount of tertiary butanol in the reaction system, to form a two liquid-phase reaction product consisting of the upper layer containing the tertiary butanol corresponding to the hydrated isobutylene and the remaining hydrocarbon, and the lower layer containing the heteropoly-acid, water, and tertiary butanol in the amount corresponding to that before reaction. The upper layer is separated to remove the hydrocarbon, and an aqueous solution of the tertiary butanol is obtained in a high concentration.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain a lactone useful as industrial intermediates and solvents selectively, by oxidizing an alpha, omega-diol in the presence of a Pd or Pt catalyst under mild conditions. CONSTITUTION:An alpha, omega-diol of formula I:(R , R1, and R2 are H, alkyl groups; n is >=2) having two OH groups bonded with 4 or more C atoms, one of which is a primary alcohol, and at least 4 straight chain carbon atoms, is brought into contact with a molecular oxygen-containing gas in the presence of a Pd or Pt catalyst in an inert solvent at room temperature to 200 deg.C, preferably under pressure, to form a lactone of formula II, e.g. gamma-lactone, epsilon-caprolactone, or delta-valerolactone. 1,4-Butanediol, 1,5-heptanediol, 1,6-hexanediol, etc. may be cited as the compound of formula I.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To increase the yield and selectivity of methyl methacrylate in the oxidative esterification of methallyl alcohol, by using a catalyst system comprising (i) Pd, (ii) Pb and Ta compound, and (iii) an alkaline earth metal compound. CONSTITUTION:Methyl methacrylate is prepared from methallyl alcohol and methanol. A high yield and selectivity are obtained by using a catalyst system comprising (i) 0.5-20 wt% of Pd, (ii) 0.01-20 wt% of a compound, of Pb or Ta, and (iii) 2-95 wt% of an alkaline earth metal compound. The Pb compound is, e.g. lead acetate, lead oxide, etc. and the Ta compound is, e.g. thallium acetate, thallium nitrate, etc. The alkaline earth metal compound is, e.g. oxides, hydroxides, etc. of magnesium, calcium, etc.

    摘要: PURPOSE:A catalyst for the manufacture of carboxylic acid ester haing a high selectivity and a high productivity per unit weight of Pd, prepared by the procedure in which a Pd compound and one or more selected from the compounds of Zr, Mo, Pb, and Bi are supported on a support, then the support is subjected to a reduction treatment, and then iodine or an iodine compound is supported on the support so treated. CONSTITUTION:A Pd compound, which is soluble in a general type solvent for the preparation of catalystes, e.g., water, carboxylic acid, alcohol, etc., and one or more selected from the compounds of Zr, Mo, Pb, and Bi, which are soluble in the same solvents, are impregnated in the form of solution into a support, e.g., activated carbon, silica gel, alumina, etc., and then the solvent in the support is evaporated to dryness for the security of the support of metal compounds. Then they are subjected to a reduction treatment using methanol, HCHO, H2, etc., and then dipped in a solution of an iodine compound for supporting the iodine compound. The catalyst contains 0.01 to 5 g atom weight of Zr, etc., and 0.1 to 5 g atom weight of iodine on the basis of 1 g atom weight of Pd, and is suitable for the manufacture of carboxylic acid in which a conjugate dienes, olefins, or aromatic hydrocarbons are oxidized in the presence of carboxylic acid.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound, important as an industrial raw material, in high selectivity, without forming side-products, by the reaction of 1,3-butadience with carboxylic acid and molecular oxygen using Pd and an organic iodide as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:1,4-Diacyloxybutene-2 is prepared by the reaction of 1,3-butadiene with carboxylic acid (preferably acetic acid) and molecular oxygen, using a composite catalyst comprising Pd and 0.3-3 gram atom of an organic iodide (methyl iodide, phenyl iodide etc.) per 1 gram atom of Pd supported on active carbons. The reaction is preferably carried out, in liquid phase containing 0.5-100g of Pd per 1l reaction solution. The reaction temp. is preferably 60-130 deg.C.

    摘要: PURPOSE:The oxidation reaction of an alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehyde and an alcohol with molecular oxygen is conducted in the presence of a specific catalyst to produce on one step an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic ester in high yield. CONSTITUTION:The oxidation reaction of an alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehyde of formula I (R1-3 are H, alkyl, aryl) such as methacrolein and an alcohol of formula: R4- OH (R4 is 1-10C alkyl) such as methanol with molecular oxygen is conducted in the presence of a catalyst consisting of (a) at least one from Pd and its compounds, (b) at least one from alkaline earth metals, Zn, Cd and oxides, hydroxides and sulfates of these metals and a polymerization inhibitor at 10-300 deg.C and 1-40 atmospheric pressure to produce the objective compound of formula II such as methyl methacrylate. Pd is preferably supported on carbon or alumina. EFFECT:Operations of recovery and purification can be done with extremely easiness and an inexpensive material can be used for reaction equipments.

    摘要: PURPOSE:An aldehyde and an alcohol are oxidized with molecular oxygen in the presence of a specific catalyst to produce a carboxylic ester with one step procedure in high yield and selectivity. CONSTITUTION:An aldehyde such as propionaldehyde or methacrolein and an alcohol such as methanol are oxidized with molecular oxygene in the presence of a catalyst consisting of at least one of Pd and its compounds, at least one selected from T1 and Hg and their compounds at 0-100 deg.C under atmospheric pressure to form the objective ester such as ethyl propionate or methyl methacrylate. The Pd compound is, e.g., its acetate, formate or sulfate, the T1 compound is e.g., its acetate, nitrate, thallous chloride, and the Hg compound is, e.g., its acetate, nitrate or oxide. The above catalyst can be supported on a carrier such as alumina, activited carbon or calcium carbonate or may be supported with each other.
