PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus, capable of facilitating resuming at little expense in time and effort for the operator to perform a jam recovery operation, even when the jam occurs during printing using a continuous sheet.SOLUTION: At least one of processing units is capable of being pulled out of an apparatus body during the occurrence of a sheet conveyance jam. A first cutter and a second cutter are arranged in the vicinity of the processing unit. The first cutter is configured to cut the sheet on an upstream of the processing unit. The second cutter is configured to cut the sheet on a downstream thereof. When the processing unit is pulled, the sheet is cut on the upstream and downstream of the processing unit.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen waste of sheets and ink and time and effort for jam recovery processing as much as possible, and to resume printing even when the jam is generated in the midst of the printing. SOLUTION: When generation of the jam is detected during conveying the sheet, the sheet is cut by a cutter part, and a manually driven jam recovering processing corresponding to a position of generation of the jam is urged to a user. When it is determined that the jam is generated at an more upstream side than the cutter part, the sheet left on the downstream side of the cutter part is discharged as a finished article. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive transmission device, capable of performing release of drive and transmission of reverse rotational drive for a fixed time using not an expensive component but a drive source and a planetary gear mechanism, and a feeding device provided with the same. SOLUTION: The device includes: a sun gear driven by a drive source; a planetary gear; a support member which supports the planetary gear so as to be rotatable and to be revolvable around the sun gear while being meshed with the sun gear; a driven gear which revolves by first directional rotation of the sun gear, and meshes with the planetary gear when the planetary gear is moved to a predetermined position; and a rotating force imparting means which imparts a rotating force to the driven gear in a direction of rotating the sun gear in a second direction opposite to the first direction through the planetary gear. When the sun gear is rotated in the second direction, the rotating force imparting means rotates the planetary gear, whereby the revolution of the planetary gear is arrested.
