Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a blowing rate of a blowing fan which feeds cooling air to a shaft-sealing device of a variable capacity compressor. SOLUTION: A variable capacity compressor has a housing 3 in which a rotary shaft 11 that is mechanically connected to a pulley 1 and rotated and a variable capacity compression mechanism 13 are housed, and a shaft sealing device 14 which prevents leakage of fluid from the periphery of the rotary shaft 11. In such a compressor, a blowing fan 15 is integrally and rotatably arranged on the pulley l so as to oppose an outer wall surface of the housing 3. Cooling air is fed at leat to the periphery of the shaft sealing device 14 by means of the blowing fan 15. An elastic piece is fitted to the blowing fan 15, which piece can be elastically deformed and easily cut by mechanical contact. The elastic piece 16 is elastically abutted against the outer wall surface of the housing 3 immediately after arranging onto the blowing fan 15 to eliminate a gap between the blowing fan 15 and the housing 3.

Rotating members 2, 4 include held portions 4, 23 which are held between an end face 311 of the power cutoff member 3 and an end face 115 of the rotary shaft 110, and apply a compression force acts by screwing of the power cutoff member 3. The held portions 4, 23 include the first held portion 23 abutted on the end face 311 of the power cutoff member 3 and the second held portion 4 which is abutted on the end face 115 of the rotary shaft 110, and harder than the first held portion 23.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible coupling which can absorb misalignment while ensuring durability of a compressor and preventing malfunction of a torque limiter mechanism. SOLUTION: A driven rotor 220 is supported rotatably by a front housing 101 (cylindrical part 102) of the compressor 100. Thereby, most of the eccentricity power due to rotation of a coupling 200 can be accepted by the front housing 101 having higher rigidity than shafts 101, 310, and a bending moment acting on the shafts 101, 310 and a load working on a bearing (a radial rolling bearing 320 and a bearing which supports the shaft 101 arranged in the compressor 101 rotatably) can be reduced, then reliability and durability of the compressor 100 can be secured, even under low speed rotation and also under high speed rotation. Further, since most of the eccentricity power caused by the rotation of the coupling 200 is received by the front housing 101, the eccentricity power can be prevented from being acted on a limiter 230 and the malfunction of the limiter 230 can be prevented.

SOLUTION: When a compressor 4 is operated in a normal condition, turning effort from an engine is transmitted to the rotary shaft 6 of the compressor 4 through a pulley 1, a rotor 2, a second holding member 13, a rubber made elastic member 15, a first holding member 12, and hubs 10, 7, and thereby, the compressor 4 is operated. At the time of normal operation, torque fluctuation is absorbed by the elastic member 15. At the time of overload such as locking of the compressor 4, the elastic member 15 is deformed, the outer peripheral surface of the elastic member 15 is slid on the inner circumferential surface of the first holding member 12 so as to stop transmission of power. A recessed part having a space facilitating deformation on a part where sliding is generated by deformation at the time of over load is formed on the elastic member 15.

When temperatures of both plates 113 and 122 and an elastic member 130 drops, even though a transmission torque increases due to the temperature drop of the elastic member 130, a meshing quantity δ1 during torque transmission decreases because gap δ2 between the elastic member 130 and the outer plate 122 becomes larger. Consequently, the increase rate of torque transmission in regard to the temperature drop of the elastic member 130 is smaller compared to when materials (coefficient of linear expansion) of both plates 113 and 122 are the same. Thus, transmission of torque is interrupted at a predetermined torque even when the temperature of the elastic member 130 drops.
