Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fabricating a metallic article without any melting.SOLUTION: A metallic article (20) made of metallic constituent elements is fabricated from a mixture of nonmetallic precursor compounds of the metallic constituent elements. The mixture of nonmetallic precursor compounds is chemically reduced to produce an initial metallic material, without melting the initial metallic material. A consolidation process may be performed by a viable technology. A preferable technology includes hot isostatic press, forging, pressure forming and sintering, and container extrusion of the initial metallic material. The material is consolidated to produce the consolidated metallic article (20). The consolidation is preferably performed by hot isostatic press, forging, pressure forming and sintering, and container extrusion of the initial metallic material.
