PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing an anthranilamide compound in which pyrazole is 3-substituted with a bromine atom or a salt thereof. SOLUTION: A compound represented by formula (II) (wherein Z is benzene substituted with a nitro group, 2-pyridyl, 3-pyridyl or 4-pyridyl) is reacted with a brominating agent, and thereafter the obtained compound is reacted with an oxidant to produce an anthranilamide compound in which pyrazole is 3-substituted with a bromine atom.
