    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition exhibiting thixotropic property, having high sag resistance, higher specific gravity than water and water-stopping property, insoluble in water and useful for the water-stopping of a movable iron support of bridge, by compounding clay and a fatty acid amide or a wax to a specific base oil. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) a base oil having a specific gravity (15/4 deg.C) of >=0.95 and composed of one or more components selected from phosphate, chlorinated hydrocarbon, polyglycol, polyphenyl ether, hindered ester, silicone oil, fluorinated hydrocarbon, pathalate, benzoic acid derivative and a high-aromatic mineral oil with (B) a clay (e.g. monmorillonite) and (C) a fatty acid amide or a wax.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a planar adhesive which can firmly bond adherends in a planar-form merly by the application of electricity, by impregnating a base cloth with a heat-curable liquid resin mainly composed of an epoxy resin and a hardener, drying it and laminating the resulting prepreg on both sides of a planar heating element. CONSTITUTION:A glass fiber or carbon fiber is impregnated with a heat-curable liquid resin mainly composed of an epoxy resin (e.g. bisphenol A diglycidyl ether type epoxy resin) and a hardener (e.g. dicyandiamide) and dried. The resulting prepregs 2, 2 are laminated on both sides of a planar heating element 1. The planar heating element 1 is prepd. by folding a heating wire 4 in zigzag turns through a lot of parallet glass fibers and connecting both terminals of the wire to steel lead wires 5, 6. Merely by electrifying the planar heating element, the adhesive can firmly bond adherends in a planar form, can be easily worked, can dispense with expensive heating equipment and can be worked in situ and inexpensively bonded.
