    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a grease-like lubricant for flexible gear joint of driving railway vehicles, etc., capable of keeping oscillation absorption effect even in a high-speed rotation area and preventing electrolytic corrosion of gear contact surface, by using a base oil containing a polymer having a specific property as main component and further controlling mixed consistency. SOLUTION: This lubricating agent is obtained by mixing a base oil containing 30-70 wt.% polymer having 2.15±0.05 relative permittivity at 90 deg.C and 900-3,000 average molecular weight and contained as main component with a thickener so that the mixed consistency is 280-340. A mineral oil-based base oil, etc., is preferable as the base oil. The mixed consistency is controlled by compounding the polymer-containing base oil with 10-25 wt.% complex thickener comprising a soap-based thickener and a non-soap-based thickener. In compounding, it is desirable to compound both components so that apparent viscosity in 10 s shear ratio at 25 deg.C is 1,000-1,500 Pa.s and lowering ratio of apparent viscosity when the shear ratio is increased to 100 s is 55-75 wt.%.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition exhibiting thixotropic property, having high sag resistance, higher specific gravity than water and water-stopping property, insoluble in water and useful for the water-stopping of a movable iron support of bridge, by compounding clay and a fatty acid amide or a wax to a specific base oil. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) a base oil having a specific gravity (15/4 deg.C) of >=0.95 and composed of one or more components selected from phosphate, chlorinated hydrocarbon, polyglycol, polyphenyl ether, hindered ester, silicone oil, fluorinated hydrocarbon, pathalate, benzoic acid derivative and a high-aromatic mineral oil with (B) a clay (e.g. monmorillonite) and (C) a fatty acid amide or a wax.

    Abstract: A lubricating grease composition consisting of lubricating base oil comprising lithium salt of a blended fatty acid prepared by mixing (a) 5 to 15 % by weight, based on the weight of the lubricating grease composition, of a natural fatty acid selected from the group consisting of stearic acid and 12-hydroxystearic acid with (b) a mixture of synthetic fatty acids having 8 to 24 carbon atoms in an amount of 0.5 to 50 % by weight, based on the weight of said natural fatty acid, is superior in roll stability in the presence of water as well as thermal stability.
