PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can carry out jam processing without transfer of a side paper feeding device or an opening operation of a vertical conveyance cover.SOLUTION: In an image formation apparatus 1, a high-capacity deck device 30 is arranged in a lower part of an apparatus body 1A which is provided with a carry-in/carry-out unit 22 in the bottom part, and a side paper feeding device 40 is arranged in the side part of the high-capacity deck device 30. In the side part where the side paper feeding device 40 of the apparatus body 1A is arranged, a vertical conveyance cover 36 provided with a conveyance guide 39 is arranged in an openable/closable way. The vertical conveyance unit 22 is configured so as to be horizontally movable, and the conveyance guide 39 of the vertical conveyance cover 36 is so configured as to be rotated, while interlocked with the horizontal movement of the vertical conveyance unit 22, to open a vertical conveyance path P2.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance apparatus and a sheet processing apparatus including the conveyance apparatus in which a guide member is prevented from being broken during a connecting work with an apparatus main body.SOLUTION: A deck body 20 of a paper feeding deck 2 is installed to an apparatus main body 10 of an image forming apparatus 1. The apparatus main body 10 comprises a main body bottom wall 10L including an insertion section 10S; and a main body side conveyance path 10P which is provided upward in an extended manner from the insertion section 10S and on which sheet is conveyed. A first sheet conveyance path 205 of the paper feeding deck 2 is communicated to the main body side conveyance path 10P of the apparatus main body 10, and the sheet is passed from the paper feeding deck 2 to the apparatus main body 10. A guide member 5 is rotatably supported by the deck body 20, and its position is changeable between a first position where the member is provided in an extended manner along an upper surface part 201 and a second position where the member is protruded upward from the upper surface part 201 and the sheet is guided from the upper surface part 201 to the main body side conveyance path 10P.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device which stably feeds a sheet even by repetitive feed or change in a temperature and humidity environment by exactly detecting a rotation state of a separation roller.SOLUTION: A paper feeding device 20 includes: a rotation detecting means having a detection collar member 91 where a cylindrical end 91a is formed which is formed so that the projecting amount of a shaft direction end face with respect to a rotary shaft direction changes continuously, and a light detection member 92 which detects a continuous displacement amount of the cylindrical end 91a, and detecting the rotation state of the separation roller 37 on the basis of a change in the detection amount when the separation roller 37 rotates; a reference data storing part 96 storing reference data S showing the change in the detection amount detected by the rotation detection means when the detection collar member 91 normally rotates; and a controller 95 capable of implementing a separating force correction mode in which a separating force of the separation roller 37 is changed by driving and controlling a motor 81 on the basis of the deviation of detection amount data T showing the change in the detection amount detected actually from the reference data S.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of suppressing a lateral backlash and the hanging-down of a carrying mechanism generated when pulling out the carrying mechanism.SOLUTION: A paper feeder 10 includes: sheet storing devices 10a and 10b arranged side by side; a pick-up roller 23a for feeding sheets in the sheet storing device 10a; a pick-up roller 23b for feeding sheets in the sheet storing device 10b; a rail mechanism 160 for supporting the sheet storing devices so as to be pulled out in the same direction; and a horizontal carrying unit 40 (a carrying mechanism) for carrying the sheets fed from the sheet storing device 10b in a generally horizontal direction. The horizontal carrying unit 40 is configured so as to be pulled out in the same direction as the sheet storing devices. At least either one of the sheet storing devices 10a or 10b is provided with an engaging portion 34 engaged with the horizontal carrying unit 40 to guide the horizontal carrying unit 40 in the pulled out direction.

The end cursor 50 is composed of two or more members so as to be freely foldable and is freely removably fixed in the sheet storage part 31.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet storage device which has improved easiness of setting sheets by causing a sheet mounting means to always stand by on a fixed position with simple constitution.SOLUTION: When a sheet cassette 10a is pulled out of the body of an image forming apparatus 100, winding pulleys 40a, 40b are rotated by the weight of a lift plate 30 in the direction in which wires 43a, 43b are drawn out. An idle gear 47 engaging with a gear part 40ab of the winding pulley 40a is also rotated. When the idle gear 47 is rotated by a predetermined amount, the engagement part 47b of the idle gear 47 is engaged with a second arm part 50c of a torsional spring 50. Since an energizing force of the torsional spring 50 is set larger than the force that rotates the idle gear 47 by the downward movement of the lift plate 30, the rotation of the idle gear 47 and the winding pulley 40a is regulated and, thus, the upper surface of the lift plate 30 is always stopped on a substantially constant position equal to or higher than the lower end part 49 of sheet supply opening parts 31a, 31b.
