The retainer 8 is fitted in this aperture 7, and a latch 20 of each male terminal 5 is engaged with a holding protrusion streak 22 of the retainer 8.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which can be handled with a terminal temporarily fixed to an insulating housing, and in which the end of a wire can be terminated at the terminal in the temporarily fixed condition, and a manufacturing method for terminating the end of the wire to the connector. SOLUTION: In this wire terminal connector 1, a terminal 4 can be temporarily fixed at a temporary fixing position in a terminal accepting passage 2 of an insulating housing 3, and can be inserted in a regular insertion position from the temporary fixing position, in order to terminate the wire by exposing a wire terminal part 19 provided at the rear end of the terminal 4 outside the insulating housing 3 in a temporarily fixed condition. After the terminal 4 is inserted and temporarily fixed in the terminal accepting passage 2 of the insulating housing 3 with the wire terminal part 19 exposed outside the insulating housing 3, the end of a wire is terminated at the wire terminal part 19, and the terminal 4 is then inserted in the regular insertion position of the terminal accepting passage 2 in order to fix it.

Moreover, each of a pair of the contact parts 7 are located in an inner side (in a center line side) of the line before fitting to a male terminal and in an outer side of the line after fitting to the male terminal, hereby the line being defined as a straight line which is parallel to the center line of a pair of the contact beams 5 and passes through a fulcrum 6 of each of a pair of the contact beams 5, and further more a terminal group consisting of a plurality of the electric connector terminals 1 uses the above- mentioned electric connector terminals 1 as electric connector terminals which are arranged side by side with a prescribed spacing and housed in a housing 9.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which can be compact while maintaining physical strength of a side wall having an engagement part to a mating connector. SOLUTION: An electric connector 1 is composed of a housing having a housing 2 in which an engagement part to a mating connector is provided, and a terminal 4 installed on the housing 2 with a contact part 5 to face the engagement part 3. A side wall 6 having the engagement part 6 is composed of an inner side wall 6a and an outer side wall 6b. An aperture part 7 to be engaged with the mating connector is formed in the inner side wall 6a. The outer side wall 6b is formed as a flat plate of a necessary thickness for maintaining physical strength.
