摘要: PURPOSE: To improve low addition reaction efficiency due to uneven addition reaction of an amino acid by a graft-polymerizing polymerizable amino acid- bonded monomer obtained by the reaction of a polymerizable monomer and an amino acid, on a polymer material membrane. CONSTITUTION: An amino acid-bonded polymerizable monomer obtained by the reaction of a polymerizable monomer having a group reactive with an amino acid and a amino acid is graft-polymerized on a polymer material membrane to give a functional membrane. The polymer material membrane is a membrane of a polymer or a compolymer of an olefin and a halogenated olefin. The amino acid-bonded polymerizable polymer is an addition polymer of an amino acid and glycidyl methacrylate, glycidyl acrylate, glycidyl sorbate, glycidyl methaitaconate, ethylglycidyl maleate, or glycidyl vinylsulfonate. The polymerizable monomer is further graft-polymerized on a polymer material membrane to produce a functional membrane.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selectively separating eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid or esters thereof from a mixture containing highly unsaturated aliphatic acids or derivatives thereof and purifying the same. SOLUTION: A silver salt is supported on diatomaceous earth by making an aqueous medium containing the silver salt flow through a column filled with the diatomaceous earth. Next a solvent solution of a mixture containing highly unsaturated aliphatic acids or derivatives thereof is made to flow through the silver salt-containing diatomaceous earth in the column and then a developer is made to flow whereby eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid or esters thereof are selectively separated and purified.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance separating ability as well as to increase kinds of materials selected for a moving bed by using a separating membrane obtd. by graft- polymerizing a polymerizable monomer to a polymer substrate, bonding ion exchange groups to the resultant polymer membrane and making protein absorbed on the membrane. SOLUTION: Optical resolution is carried out with a separating membrane obtd. by graft-polymerizing a polymerizable monomer to a polymer substrate, bonding ion exchange groups to the resultant polymer membrane and making protein absorbed on the membrane or a separating membrane obtd. by graft- polymerizing a polymerizable monomer having an ion exchange group to a polymer substrate and making protein absorbed on the resultant polymer membrane. The separating membrane is utilized as an optical resolving membrane for analysis or separation owing to molecular asymmetry identifying ability peculiar to the adsorbed protein. The polymer substrate is made of a polymer or copolymer of olefin or halogenated olefin. The polymerizable monomer is, e.g. glycidyl methacrylate or glycidyl acrylate.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely change the strength of hydrophobic nature of a membrane surface. SOLUTION: A reverse phase separating membrane for separating protein is manufactured by graft polymerizing a porous polymer material membrane with a polymerizable monomer with a functional group of hydrophobic nature and another polymerizable monomer with a functional group of hydrophilic nature. As for the porous polymer material membrane, a membrane of a polymer or a copolymer of olefin or a halogenated olefin polyamide, a polyester, a polysulfone, a polyimide, cellulose or a cellulose derivative is used, and as a polymerizable monomer with a hydrophobic group, octadecyl (meth)acrylate or the like is used, and as the polymerizable monomer with a hydrophilic functional group, hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate or the like is used.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing optically 2-methylpiperazine having a highly optically active purity by optically resolving (±)-2-methylpiperazine. SOLUTION: This method for producing optically active 2-methylpiperazine, comprising a process for reacting 1 mole of (±)-2-methylpiperazine with 1 mole of an optically active tartaric acid selected from L-tartaric acid and D-tartaric acid to produce the 2-methylpiperazine.monotartarate as two kinds of the diastereomers and then utilizing the difference between the dissolution degrees of the diastereomers to deposit and separate one of the diastereomers, thus dissolving two kinds of the diastereomers in the crystals and the mother liquor, respectively, a process for further reacting with at least 1 mole of the same optically active tartaric acid to produce the 2-methylpiperazine.ditartarate as two kinds of the diastereomers and then utilizing the difference between the dissolution degrees of the diastereomers to deposit and separate one of the diastereomers, thus dissolving the two diastereomers in the crystals and the mother liquor, respectively, and so on.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a superior reverse phase separating membrane which can select various functional groups in compliance with the nature of a material to be dealt with by graft polymerizing a polymerizable monomer provided with a hydrophobic functional group with a porous polymer material membrane. SOLUTION: A polymerizable monomer with a hydrophobic functional group such as octadecyl (meth)acrylate or tridecyl (meth)acrylate is graft polymerized with a porous polymer material membrane such as olefin or polyamide. Then, the hydrophobic functional group is fixed on a porous polymer membrane material. A polymer membrane thus formed is utilized as a reverse phase separating membrane for reverse phase column chromatography. A wide range of fixing amount of the hydrophobic functional group can be controlled by the membrane, and various functional groups can be selected in compliance with the nature of a material to be dealt with. As hydroxyl group is not contained in the membrane, separation can be carried out simply by the mutual action of the hydrophobic groups and a separation pattern of good reproducibility and without tailings can be provided.
