    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for detecting an analyte, capable of displaying directly the presence of interference to take the interference into consideration, when evaluating a test result, and capable of displaying directly a type of the interference in some cases.
    SOLUTION: A solid phase has at least one test area containing a reagent for detecting at least the one analyte in a sample, and further includes at least one control area for detecting an interference reaction due to nonspecific coupling of a nonanalyte interference component onto the test area. A solid phase receptor having an analyte specific coupling segment is applied using a filling solution, and the control area contains the reagent of the filling solution, but includes no analyte specific coupling segment.
