PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily converge from the initial state to the optimum value and to adjust the gain, in a shorter time by providing a means for adding output of A/D converter at each pixel and adjusting gain based on the addition value (or the average value). SOLUTION: Image data for one line outputted from A/D converters 2a and 2b is added, by using adders 6a and 6b, and resisters 7a and 7b. A gain, in response to the addition result, is read from a conversion table 5, and is set in gain setting parts 11a and 11b of amplifiers 1a and 1b. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original reader capable of performing gamma correction by considerably increasing the substantial number of pixels used for the averaging without increasing the circuit scale of an adder. SOLUTION: In the case of sampling pixel data from reference density data in order to generate a gamma correction table 12, an averaging filter of a spatial filter processing means 9 is selected by a command from a control means 11, the averaging filter averages a plurality of pixels in the vicinity of a notice pixel and including the notice pixel of the reference density data, an averaging processing means 10 averages averaged pixel data, and a table generating means 11 generates the gamma correction table 12 on the basis of the average value. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in reading accuracy of a white reference original and an ordinary original due to dirt on a press contact face with the original in a read sensor section and an original retaining member. SOLUTION: A winding roller 4 is placed freely turnably at an upper-stream side of a platen roller 3 in an original carrying direction shown in the arrow A, the outer end of a cleaning sheet 5 whose one end is open is fixed to a circumferential face with a screw 10, and the cleaning sheet 5 is wound and contained on the circumferential face of the winding roller 4 in a range of not in contact with the screw 10. The turning of the platen roller 3 in both forward/reverse directions is selectively delivered to the winding roller 4 through a turning delivery mechanism 9 comprising a belt 9d stretched over a couple of pulleys 9a, 9b and a clutch 9c to insert/withdraw the cleaning sheet 5 to/from an original read position P at which contact glass 21 of a read sensor section 2 is in contact with part of the circumferential face of the platen roller 3. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of executing proper area separation processing with the correction of color deviation by a scanner adopting a so called color sensor CCD type color decomposition system. SOLUTION: As for an image signal read and converted by a color sensor CCD type color decomposition system, color deviation to be generated from the arrangement positions of R(red), G(green), and B(blue) photo-elements whose spectral sensitivity characteristics are different in each pixel is corrected. In this case, the correction processing is carried out prior to color determination and posterior to edge determination by considering that the edge gets blunted at carrying out the correction processing by using a filter or the like, and that the color deviation should be repaired prior to the color determination processing. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-luminance stereoscopic display device capable of displaying a brighter stereoscopic video where reduction of luminance due to a barrier is prevented.SOLUTION: The high-luminance stereoscopic display device 100 includes: a raster 10 for displaying a plurality of pieces of video portion information; a parallax barrier filter 20 having pluralities of transparent portions 23 and nontransparent portions 24 formed on the surface 21, and configured to make the video portion information visible as a three-dimensional video at a plurality of viewpoints; and a spacer tool member 40 for fixing a positional relationship between the raster 10 and the parallax barrier filter 20. In the rear surface 22 of the parallax barrier filter 20, a barrier structure is formed corresponding to the nontransparent portions 24. In the inner peripheral surfaces 41S and 42S of the barrier structure and the spacer tool member 40, a reflective film or a reflective material is formed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display device capable of displaying an image having high luminance and resolution during both a stereoscopic image display and a planar image display.SOLUTION: A stereoscopic image display device 100 comprises: a first liquid crystal display 110 for including a plurality of first sub pixels 10 and selectively displaying a planar image and a plurality of parallax images; a second liquid crystal display 120 including a plurality of second sub pixels 20 and capable of displaying a parallax barrier having transmission parts 20A and shield parts 20B; and a spacer for forming a uniform gap between the liquid crystal displays 110 and 120. Each resolution of the sub pixels 10 and 20 is the same. When the stereoscopic image display device 100 displays a stereoscopic image, the plurality of second sub pixels 20 form the transmission parts 20A or the shield parts 20B with respect to the plurality of first sub pixels 10 so that one second sub pixel 20 corresponds one-to-one to one first sub pixel 10.
