SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is a layered type one having a base coating layer, a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer deposited on a conductive base body. The base coating layer contains acicular and/or dendritic titanium oxide particles. The charge generating layer is formed by using a butyral resin expressed by general formula [X] as a binder resin. The charge transfer layer contains one or more kinds of charge transfer materials selected from styryl compounds expressed by general formula [A], aromatic diamine compounds expressed by general formula [B] or aminostilbene compounds expressed by formula [C]. (Each general formula is omitted herein). COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an image with practically sufficient electric and mechanical performances and high durability. SOLUTION: In the method for forming an image by electrifying the surface of an electrophotographic photoreceptor to form an electrostatic latent image and then developing and transferring the electrostatic latent image to form an image, the photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor used contains a polymer compound having the structural unit expressed by general formula (1). The electrostatic charge image formed on the electrophotographic photoreceptor is developed and visualized by using a toner prepared by externally adding an irregular magnetic material particles to color particles composed of at least a binder resin and a coloring agent. In formula (1), each of R , R , R , R , R , R , R and R represents a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, 1-6C alkyl group which may have substituents, 4-10C cyclic hydrocarbon group which may have substituents or aryl group which may have substituents.

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display capable of performing area active drive, where by taking into in consideration the emitted light from ambient light sources, correct gradation can be displayed, while suppressing power consumption. SOLUTION: A lighting luminance calculating section 10 sets, when the luminance of a light source LS(x, y) is insufficient for illuminating a certain position (x, y), with the required illuminance D(x, y) calculated by a required illuminance calculation section 150 so as to compensate for the shortfall in illuminance (rest) by the illuminance of ambient light sources LS(x+p, y+q) and outputs the light. Thus, as compared to the configuration where the luminance of each light source is increased uniformly, power consumption can be suppressed, shortage in the illuminance (rest) is compensated for, and correct gradation can be displayed. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device improved in security of information printed in an image-formed printed matter. SOLUTION: When a draft image is read by an image reading portion 105, the read image data is stored in a storing portion 103. When a conversion method is selected by an input from an operation panel 104, an image conversion portion 102 starts up a conversion program of the selected conversion method, and converts read image data stored in the storing portion 103 into a three-dimensional image. When the conversion of the image data ends, the converted three-dimensional image data is transmitted to an image forming portion 101, and is printed in recording paper at the image forming portion 101. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor on which discharge dielectric breakdown by contact charging is prevented and which is excellent in long-term printing durability. SOLUTION: When a coating liquid for forming a charge transport layer in a photosensitive layer formed in a surface of an electrophotographic photoreceptor is prepared, components for the charge transport layer except a binder resin are dissolved in an organic solvent (step a1), this solution is filtered (step a2) and the binder resin is added to the resulting filtrate (step a3). By forming a charge transport layer using the resulting coating liquid for a charge transport layer, the desired electrophotographic photoreceptor can be manufactured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
