    SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is a layered type one having a base coating layer, a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer deposited on a conductive base body. The base coating layer contains acicular and/or dendritic titanium oxide particles. The charge generating layer is formed by using a butyral resin expressed by general formula [X] as a binder resin. The charge transfer layer contains one or more kinds of charge transfer materials selected from styryl compounds expressed by general formula [A], aromatic diamine compounds expressed by general formula [B] or aminostilbene compounds expressed by formula [C].
