Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable rapid cancellation of a lock tendency despite of a road surface state by a method wherein a slow boosting gradient is controlled to a proper value through control of a continuous time ratio between a pressure reducing position or a dwell position and a boosting position so that a continuous time of a slow boosting mode is adjusted to a proper length. CONSTITUTION:In a device in which the wheel cylinders of front wheels on both sides and rear wheels on both sides are connected to the two pressurizing chambers of a tandem type master cylinder 10 through a piping, a 2-position valve 22 serving as a solenoid valve device is situated in the middle between liquid passages 18 and 20 through which a wheel cylinder of, for example, a left front wheel 14 is connected to the master cylinder 10. The 2-position valve 22 is switchable to a plurality of modes containing a pressure reducing mode and a slow boosting mode by means of a controller 50. In this case, when a continuous time of a preceding slow boosting mode is different from a target time, a ratio between a continuous time of a pressure reducing position or a dwell position in a present slow boosting mode and a continuous time of a boosting position is variable to a direction in which a continuous time of the slow boosting mode attains a value approximately similar to a target time.
