Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of fastening structure by solving a problem wherein there is a possibility that a fastening part of a reservoir tank made of a resin is deformed and broken by residual stress when a fastening part is forcibly fastened by a bolt.
SOLUTION: In this fastening structure 10, a nearly cylindrical collar 3 is pressed into a fitting hole 2a of a resin member 2, a bolt 4 is inserted into the collar 3, and the bolt 3 is screwed to a metal member 23 so as to fasten the bolt 4 to the metal member 23. The collar 3 is held in the fitting hole 2a of the resin member 2 by a predetermined holding force F1 so that the collar 3 is not moved in relation to the fitting hole 2a of the resin member 2. When fastening the bolt 4 to the metal member 23, a predetermined holding force F1 allowing the relative movement of the collar 3 is set so that deformation of the resin member 2 in the bolt inserting direction does not exceed an allowable range.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension system including hydraulic cylinders and accumulators connected with the cylinders, enabling a quick vehicle height adjustment. SOLUTION: The suspension system for a vehicle is structured so that the hydraulic cylinders 10-16 and the accumulators 40-46 are connected with a vehicle height adjusting device 28. According to this system, the working liquid flows out as well from the cylinders 10-16 as the accumulators 40-46 in order to lower the vehicle height by operation of the vehicle height adjusting device 28 to result in taking a long time, but if solenoid valves 50-56 are shut off in order to lower thr vehicle height, no working liquid will flow out from the accumulators 40-46, so that the liquid is allowed to flow out quickly from the cylinders 10-16 to result in a shorter time for lowering the height to the target value. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the insufficient tire contact state of one of a plurality of wheels in a vehicle suspension system having a plurality of vehicle height adjusting devices for adjusting a vehicle height corresponding to one or more wheels of the plurality of wheels.
SOLUTION: When a target vehicle height is set to be "high" (S1), and one of following states is detected: based on detection values of vehicle height sensors when one of suspension devices is in a full rebound state (S3); based on detection values of an air pressure sensors when the air pressure of one of air springs is a set value or smaller (S5); based on a detection value of a wheel speed sensor when a wheel speed difference between right and left driving wheels is set value or larger (S7); or the vehicle is in traction control (S8), it is determined that there is a wheel whose tire contact state is insufficient, so that the height of the whole vehicle is lowered (S10).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect whether or not tire information is transmitted from an uninstalled tire when the tire information is transmitted from a plurality of tires including an installed tire attached to a vehicle and the uninstalled tire loaded on the vehicle without being attached to the vehicle and to perform no output to a vehicle control device when it is transmitted from the uninstalled tire. SOLUTION: When the received tire information is the one transmitted from the installed tire, air pressure information included in the tire information is outputted to the vehicle control device, however, when it is detected that the information is the one transmitted from the uninstalled tire, it is not outputted. Therefore, the vehicle control cannot be performed based on the air pressure of the uninstalled tire. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability of a hydraulic system by solving a problem occurring in the hydraulic system when an oil temperature is too low or too high. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 30 adjusts/controls the actual vehicle height of a vehicle to a target vehicle height by controlling an electric motor 21, leveling valves 24a, 24b and an accumulator valve 26 so as to eliminate the deviation of the actual vehicle height relative to the target vehicle height based on the actual vehicle height detected by vehicle height sensors 33a-33c. When the oil temperature T detected by an oil temperature sensor 34 is extremely low or high, the control of the vehicle height adjustment and the feed of operation oil to an accumulator 25 are interrupted by stopping the operation of the electric motor 21 and a hydraulic pump 22 and switching respective valves 24a, 24b, and 26 to closed states. Thereby, it is avoided that a load of the hydraulic pump 22 becomes large and a delivery capacity is reduced by the fact that the viscosity or fluidity property of the operation oil is extremely high or low. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a higher level of damping force and a lower level of damping force in a shock absorber. SOLUTION: Front, rear, and left and right shock absorbers 10 to 16 in a vehicle are connected to a central cylinder 38. Even in the case where rolling of the vehicle occurs, the liquid pressure of the shock absorbers 12, 16 in the right front and rear wheels is increased, and the liquid pressure of the shock absorbers 10, 16 on the left front and rear wheels is lowered, a control piston 68 is not moved. The four shock absorbers 10 to 16 are brought to a higher damping force state to suppress rolling. When the liquid pressure of the shock absorbers 10, 12 in the front left and right wheels is increased due to road surface input, the control piston 68 is moved, whereby the shock absorbers 10 to 16 are brought to a lower damping force state and identical phase movement of the left and right wheels are accepted. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a tire when its air pressure of a tire is lower than a set pressure. SOLUTION: When air pressure of a tire in a right rear wheel 14FR is detected to be lower than a set pressure, a stabilizer bar 16 is twisted by control of a rotary cylinder 40, so that a load on the right rear wheel 14FR is reduced. By thus reducing the load applied to a wheel with the air pressure of the tire lower than the set pressure, air pressure lowering speed is delayed, thereby life of the tire can be elongated.
