    摘要: NEW MATERIAL:An amidine compound expressed by the formula (Y is H or lower alkyl; R and R are alkyls or alkenyls; R is alkyl, alkynyl, benzyl, chlorosubstituted benzyl, cyano, cyanoalkyl, alkoxycarbonylmethyl, phenoxyethyl, alkyl- substituted phenoxyethyl, etc.; X is inorganic or organic acid; n is 0 or 1). EXAMPLE:N,N-Diethyl-N'-isopropylbenzamidine. USE:An agricultural and horticultural germicide having remarkable control effects, particularly on powdery mildew of various crops, even in a lower amount than the commercially available drug, and on pathogenic fungi of gray mold, anthracnose, blast, etc. with very little phytotoxicity to crops and very low toxicity to men and cattle. PROCESS:A mixture of N,N-diethylbenzamidine with isopropyl iodide is heated for 1hr. After allowing to cool, the mixture is made strongly alkaline with a 25% aqueous solution of NaOH to afford the compound of the formula.

    摘要: NEW MATERIAL:An amidine compound of the formula (Q is phenyl or naphthyl which may have 1-3 substituents, e.g. a lower alkyl group; R1 and R2 are alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl groups, or may form with the N atom to which they are attached a 5- to 7-membered saturated alicylic ring, wherein another O atom may be a constituent atom and 1-2 CH3 groups may be contained; X is inorganic or organic acid; n is 0, 1, or 2). EXAMPLE:N,N-Diethylbenzamidine. USE:Agricultural and horticultural germicides having powerful control effects on various pathogenic germs, particularly powdery mildew, of crops, with low damage and toxicity. PROCESS:A Grignard reagent is reacted with a secondary amine in a solvent, and the reaction product is reacted with a nitrile under heating. The resulting product is decomposed with ammonium chloride, and treated with a strong alkali to give the objective compound of the formula.
