PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for coating food without causing destruction or damage of food. SOLUTION: This device has a rotary drum 3, supply lines 1 and 5 supplying a food 4 to be coated with powder to the drum 3, taking-out lines 2 and 8 for taking out the coated food 4, and supply means 13 and 19 supplying a moving coating material 9 to the food 4 in the drum 3. The number of flow and the width of the food 4 to be coated are expanded by setting on the device at least another drum 3 in addition to a conventional drum, making the width of the supply lines 1 and 5 and taking-out lines 2 and 8 larger than the diameter of the drum, and stretching and extending both the lines 1, 5, 2 and 8 to at least two drums 3 in the cross direction. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for continuously coating cores by a coater, so that even a relatively limited supply can be handled by a simple device with a small capacity. SOLUTION: The method is provided for continuously coating cores by a sugar-coated-tablet-making apparatus comprising at least one rotary drive drum, in which a product is coated with one or several kinds of coating materials or undergoes other treatments, such as spraying, drying or the like. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an especially improved rotating drum structure with respect to improvement of coating technique, and to provide a driving method of a rotating drum for obtaining better products with low proportion defective. SOLUTION: A method for including particles into the surface of an object comprises applying if necessary, liquid or semi-liquid binder to the object so as to form the object applied with undercoating, adding the object and particles to a rotatable drum (106) which has at least an inlet (107), a length (L) and a diameter (D) and at least one wing, and rotating the drum. Each wing lifts the object and particles followed by dropping, and the drop impact of the object and particles thrusts the particles into the object or the coating film of the object applied with undercoating.
