Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily-manufacturable supporting unit for a micro fluid system having mild restriction of the number of steps or the quantity of reaction or analysis, and a supporting unit for the micro fluid system capable of mounting a complicated fluid circuit thereon highly densely. SOLUTION: In this supporting unit for the micro fluid system including a first support, and at least one hollow filament constituting a channel of the micro fluid system, the hollow filament is laid in an optional shape on the first support, and a filler is fixed on a prescribed spot inside at least one hollow filament to impart functionality, and the functionality is at least one item selected from a group including absorption/desorption, ion exchange, separation, removal, distribution and oxidation/reduction. SOLUTION: The supporting unit for the microfluid system comprises a first supporting plate and at least one hollow filament constituting a channel of the microfluid system. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing the photochemical reaction or spectrum analysis of a fluid using a support unit for a microfluid system not receiving the severe restriction of the number or quantity of steps of reaction or analysis, easy to manufacture, and for densely mounting complicated fluid circuits. SOLUTION: In the method for performing the photochemical reaction or spectrum analysis of the fluid by allowing the fluid to flow through a hollow filament having light transmission properties and irradiating the fluid with light using the support unit for the microfluid system equipped with a first support and the hollow filament constituting the flow channel of the microfluid system and characterized in that the hollow filament is laid on the first support in an optional shape, the predetermined place of the hollow filament has light transmission properties and the predetermined place inside the hollow filament has functionality, the functionality of the predetermined place inside the hollow filament is at least one selected from the group consisting of absorption-desorption, ion exchange, separation, removal, distribution and oxidation-reduction.
