摘要: PURPOSE:To reduce transmitting loss by connecting rod members straightly to the input shaft of the rear wheel steering mechanism, to which front wheel steering force is transmitted through a concave channel of the lower surface of the fuel tank, lying fore and under vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Under the fuel tank 17, a concave channel 18 is provided which lies foe and aft under the vehicle. The concave channel contains rod members which transmit front wheel steering force from the steering device 1 to the rear wheel steering mechanism 10 Owing to this constitution, the connecting rod members 7 are straightly connected to the input shaft 12 of the rear wheel steering mechanism 10 without interfering the fuel tank 17. Therefore, transmitting loss of the steering force and the connecting portion is reduced.

摘要: PURPOSE:To prevent bending of coupling shaft upon collision by splitting the coupling shaft while preventing relative rotation through coupling section. CONSTITUTION:The rear shaft 19 is splitted into first and second shafts 25, 26 on same line where the front end section of second shaft 26 is inserted slidably into an insertion hole 25a while a small diameter section 26a having approximately rectangular cross-section is formed at the front end section. The portion surrounded by the small diameter section 26a and the innercircumferential face at the rear end section of first shaft 25 is the coupling chamber 28 where resin 29 is filled in the engaging holes 25b. In such a manner, a coupling section 27 for blocking the relative motion in the axial and rotary directions of said shafts 25, 26 while slides axially for the axial load higher than predetermined level is formed at the facing section of said shafts 25, 26.

CONSTITUTION:An arm member 41 whose intermediate part is pivotally supported by a pivotal supporting pin 38 at the right edge of a connecting rod 37 whose left edge is pivotally supported by an eccentric pin 34 on a drive gear 33 swings vertically through the transverse movement of the tie rods 13 and 13 at right and left which are connected and supported by the lower edge of the arm member 41, so that rear wheels are steered as shown by a curve A in sinusoidal wave form, having an upper part pivotal supporting point 36 as an immovable supporting point. While, the arm member 41 whose upper part is pivotally supported by the eccentric pin 36 on a driven gear 35 swings vertically so as to steer rear wheels as shown by a curve B in parabola form, having a lower part pivotally supporting point 38 as an immovable supporting point. Therefore, rear wheels are steered with a steering-angle function as shown by a complicated curve C newly synthesized from the curves A and B.

The sector gear 25 is interlocked with a pinion gear 26 fixed on an axis 27 of an offset arm 28.

摘要: PURPOSE:To average the change rate of the steering angle of a steering wheel, by connecting a linkage shaft to at least either a pinion shaft of a shaft member through the formation of a deflection angle. CONSTITUTION:When the steering angle of a front wheel is isokinetically transmitted to a shaft member 12, the steering angle of a rear wheel 11 changes in the shape of an approximately sine wave. Since it is desirable that the change occurs slowly, the shaft member 12, whereon a deflection angle alpha is formed, is linked to a linkage member 9, and by dint of the non-isokinetic properties, the steering angle of the rear wheel permits slowing down of a change occurring in the vicinity of the apex of the sine wave. Thus, averaging of the change rate of the steering angle of the rear wheel can take place, and smooth steering sensation may be produced.
