Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control carbon dioxide (CO) concentration in a turbomachine.SOLUTION: The turbomachine 4 includes: a compressor section 6; a turbine section 8 operatively connected to the compressor section 6; a combustor 12 fluidly connected between the compressor section 6 and the turbine section 8; and a carbon dioxide (CO) extraction system 50 fluidly connected to the combustor 12. The COextraction system 50 includes a COseparator 54. The COseparator 54 separates a COladen inlet gas stream into a first gas stream 64 and a second gas stream 66. The first gas stream 64 is substantially free of COand the second gas stream 66 comprises CO. The first gas stream 64 is directed to the combustor 12 and the second gas stream 66 is passed through a discharge conduit 72.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct-fired coal combustion system having further improved fuel efficiency by reducing heat loss in gasifying and separating treatment. SOLUTION: The direct-fired coal combustion system (100) includes a swirl chamber (114) having an input configured to receive a coal-water slurry and causing the coal-water slurry to mix with discharge air from a compressor (106) to gasify the coal-water slurry and create a synthesis gas. The system also includes a cyclone separator (116) directly coupled to the second end of the swirl chamber (114) and a second stage combustion input (112) coupled to an output of the cyclone separator. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing NOx by diluting fuel using a fuel diluting device. SOLUTION: The fuel diluting device to be used in this method includes a first pipe line having an inlet and an outlet and fitted for sending a fuel flow entering from the inlet and outflowing from the outlet under a first thermodynamic state and a first fuel index; and a second pipe line having an intake and a discharge port, and fitted for sending a fluid flow entering from the intake and outflowing from the discharge port under a second/different thermodynamic state and a second fuel index different from the first fuel index by at least 0.1. This constitution produces a possibility of mixing two flows of outflowing from the outlet and the discharge port, at least, a part of the fuel is mixed with at least a part of the fluid near the outlet and the discharge port, and the second pipe line produces the diluted fuel flow having an intermediate fuel index.
