Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting element capable of enhancing adhesion between an electrode and a protective film.SOLUTION: A semiconductor light-emitting element 1 includes: a semiconductor structure 3 in which an n-type semiconductor layer 4 and a p-type semiconductor layer 6 are sequentially laminated; a translucent conductive film 12 provided on the p-type semiconductor layer 6; an insulating film 20 which is provided on the translucent conductive film 12 and has a first through hole 21 and a second through hole 22 for exposing the translucent conductive film 12; a p-side electrode layer 32 which is provided on the insulating film 20 and is electrically connected to the translucent conductive film 12 via the first through hole 21; and a protective film 40 which is provided on the insulating film 20 and is in contact with the translucent conductive film 12 via the second through hole 22. The protective film 40 covers a part of the p-side electrode layer 32.
