PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing sliced food that has automatic addition of preparation, in an amount sufficient for inhibiting the generation of pathogenic bacterium cells. SOLUTION: The method for producing sliced pieces of food relates to a piece of food 3 cut into slices 8 with a slicer 1 by repeated cutting of the pieces of food. Pathogenic bacteria-inhibiting preparations 12, 16 are added onto the cut-off slice surfaces 3a which are generated during slicing the piece of food by using one or more nozzles 9, 13 during slicing the piece of food. Preparation in an amount sufficient to inhibit the development of the pathogenic bacterium cells, such as listeria organisms, is automatically added onto the surface of the slices. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sterilizing chickens by which sterilization of chickens can safely, simply, persistently and effectively be carried out. SOLUTION: This method for sterilizing chickens comprises carrying out contact treatment of chickens with an aqueous solution of hinokitiol by at least one method selected from coating, spraying, rubbing and immersing in at least one step of an inside extraction step, a cooling step and a packaging step and/or at least one continuous step when producing chickens by treating chickens. In the sterilization method and the production method of chicken, the concentration of hinokitiol in the aqueous solution of hinokitiol is preferably 1-50,000 ppm and the pH of the aqueous solution of hinokitiol is preferably 4-11 and the treating temperature is preferably 0-70 deg.C.

PURPOSE: To make the occupied area of the device practical concerning a device and method to be used for reducing the quantity of pathogenic bacteria stuck to poultry and other animal meat. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a machine with inner and outer parts where the tip part of the outer part connects the inner and outer parts with each other to allow the area of the inner part to provide a space completely surrounding at least one poultry or animal meat to be processed. Then, the device is provided with at least one discharging nozzle fixed in the inner part of the machine so as to supply for the whole inner side of the internal cavity of poultry or animal meat and connected to the source of a bacteria reducing chemical solution, at least one spraying nozzle fixed in the inner part of the machine so as to supply the whole outer surface of the poultry or animal meat and connected to the source of the bacteria reducing chemical solution, and at lest one connector for connecting the outer part or the tip part wall of the machine to an existing upper conveyer.
