PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded product which causes no peeling of parenchyma cells without coating treatment of the surface of oil palm material with synthetic resin even for use of a directly cut trunk of oil palm, having a desired specific gravity as a whole.SOLUTION: A compressive force is applied to an oil palm material having a predetermined length, while the elongation in the direction orthogonal to the direction of the applied compressive force is restricted. The compaction is thereafter maintained and the temperature is lowered, so that a consolidated oil palm molded product is formed. The density of the oil palm material at both sides in the compression direction is higher than the density of the oil palm material at the central part in the compression direction.
