    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel calixarene derivative that can provide a curable resin composition which causes no volumetric shrinkage on the polymerization and is not adversely affected by oxygen on curing and is useful as a coating material, or the like. SOLUTION: This is a calixarene derivative represented by formula I (R1 is H, an alkyl; R2 is H, a lower alkyl; (n) is 4-10; one of X1 and X2 is a spiro ortho ester derivative of formula II, and the other is H). The derivative of formula I is prepared, for example, by stirring a p-alkylcalixarene as a starting material together with cesium carbonate in a solvent, adding a halogenated acetic ester thereto in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst and heating to form an ether, then adding a basic substance thereto, stirring them in a solvent, further admixing a phase transfer catalyst and water and stirring them under heating to obtain a carboxylic acid, adding a solvent to the mixture of the resultant carboxylic acid and 1,8-azabicyclo[5.4.0]-7-undecene, finally dripping 2-bromomethy-1,4,6-trioxaspiro[4.4]nonane to the mixture under stirring with heat.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject condensate, capable of mildly advancing reaction, excellent in safety, compatibility, mixability and adhesion and useful as adhesives, etc., by condensing acetone with formaldehyde in a specific proportion in the presence of an alkaline catalyst in the coexistence of a phenolic compound. CONSTITUTION:One mol acetone is condensed with 1.4-3mol formaldehyde in the presence of an alkaline catalyst such as sodium hydroxide in the coexistence of a phenolic compound such as phenol in an amount of preferably 30-150% (based on the equiv. of the alkaline catalyst) to afford the objective condensate.
