Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray type card connector, wherein countermeasures against instantaneous shutoff are taken. SOLUTION: The connector 10 has a tray 2, a housing 3, a cover plate 4, and a plurality of contacts 5. The tray 2 has a recessed section 20 for storing a card 1. The housing 3 slidably stores the tray 2 in the inside. The cover plate 4 covers the housing 3, and reinforces both side faces of the housing 3 by sticking both wings of the tray thereto. The contact 5 comes into contact with a pad where a contact point is prepared on the card 1. The tray 2 has a pair of one set of openings 2a, 2a, and 2b, 2b where a portion of both side faces of the card 1 is exposed, on both wings. The housing 3 has a pair of one set of notches 3a, 3a, and 3b, 3b on both side faces. The cover plate 4 has a pair of one set of leaf spring pieces 4a, 4a, and 4b, 4b pushing both side faces of the card 1 at the same force on both wings via the pair of one set of notches and the pair of one set of openings. Abstract: To provide a connector capable of assuring contact pressure between a terminal and a flat cable without disposing a metal beam supporting an actuator. In the connector of the Present Application, a housing has a convexity-opposing a terminal, and an actuator has a concavity mating with the convexity. An axle disposed in the concavity is inserted into a bearing disposed on the convexity. The actuator has a cam fitting between the convexity and the terminal, and is disposed so as to be able to turn between a sandwiched position at which a flat cable is sandwiched between the cam and the terminal and a release position at which the sandwiching is released.
