In this configuration, the contacting area of the rings 8 and 9 with the cylindrical shaft 1 is greater than in the conventional arrangement, which allows increasing the resisting force against the moment load generated in association with high speed rotation.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a variation in the rotation of a rotary shaft due to eccentricity and to form a high quality image, by fixing the superimposed identical shapes of fly wheels into positions deviated in a circumferential direction with respect to a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor drum of an image carrier 1 is rotatably supported on a rotary shaft 2 and the rotary shaft 2 is rotated by a drive means. Fly wheels 3 molded out of a metal plate with a molding die are fixed with fixing means 4 so that the superimposed identical shapes of the fly wheels are deviated in a circumferential direction with respect to the fixing shaft 2. That is, on the assumption that the fly wheels 3 of the identical shapes are eccentric, N fixing holes are formed in advanced in the fly wheels 3 at an interval of 360 deg./N in the circumferential direction, and the eccentric portions of the fly wheels 3 are dispersedly arranged evenly in the circumferential direction, thereby offsetting eccentric elements. Thus, an image forming device which prevents the occurrence of a variation in rotation due to eccentricity and is capable of high-quality image formation is obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the resonance phenomenon of a common shaft by providing annular recessed grooves in several positions of the outer wall of the common shaft to install O-rings, and bringing a main shaft into contact with the common shaft in a part of the clearance formed between the inner wall of the main shaft and the outer wall of the common shaft through the O-rings. SOLUTION: Annular recessed grooves 11 are provided in several positions of the outer wall 8a of a common shaft 8, and O-rings 12 are installed to the recessed grooves 11. A main shaft 7 is brought into contact with the common shaft 8 in a part of the clearance S between the inner wall 7a of the main shaft 7 and the outer wall 8a of the common shaft 8 through the O-rings 12. The recessed grooves 11 are set to a dimension such that the circumferences of the O-rings 12 make contact with the inner wall 7a of the main shaft 7 when the 0-rings 12 are installed. Since the common shaft 8 is supported by the main shaft 7 in the contact positions, vibration of the common shaft 8 is surely suppressed. Thus, the resonance phenomenon of the common shaft can be prevented with a simple and inexpensive structure.
