摘要: PURPOSE: To provide a device for cooling hot rolled wire rod, which is equipped with a heat reflection plate so that cooling rate of wire rod coil is uniformly maintained by the heat reflection plate using a retarded Stelmor cooling method. CONSTITUTION: In a cooling device for retarded cooling a wire rod coil coiled by a coiler after a wire rod is rapidly cooled, the device for cooling hot rolled wire rod comprises a conveyor which moves the wire rod coil and is equipped with a cover(30); and a heat reflection plate(40) which is installed at the inner side of the cover, and on left and right portions of which a downward inclined part(42) is formed, wherein a ratio(Wref/Wrod) of width of the heat reflection plate to width of the wire rod coil is 0.88 to 0.93, wherein a ratio of width(We) of the inclined part to the total width(Wref) of the heat reflection plate is 0.021 to 0.024, and wherein an inclination angle(α) of the inclination part is 25 to 30 degrees.

CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a coil outer diameter measuring unit for directly measuring outer diameter of coil from movement of snubber roll(22) installed at a lower part of tension reel(6); a data processing unit(26) for outputting the calculated data by calculating coil outer diameter final data from length data measured by wire; and a control unit(27) for calculating thickness of coil worked in mill stand by operating coil outer diameter data according to whether sleeve is used or not from the coil outer diameter final data outputted from the data processing unit, and informing of the judgement result by judging whether the calculated working thickness of the coil is normal or not, wherein the coil outer diameter measuring unit comprises a distance measuring instrument(23) for measuring distance using wire; a distance measuring wire(25) one end of which is fixed to snubber roll of a lower part of tension reel, and the other end of which is fixed to the distance measuring instrument; and a direction converting bearing(24) installed to convert direction of the wire between the distance measuring instrument and the snubber roll.

摘要: PURPOSE: A method for controlling top end position of the wire rod during coiling of wire rod having large diameter is provided to reduce jamming of a top end part of the wire rod during transferring by accurately prediction controlling position of the top end part of the wire rod when coiling wire rod on a drum type down coiler. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step(401) of detecting position of the down coiler at a time point when the wire rod is advanced into a down coiler using rotational angle of the down coiler; a step(402) of calculating a down coiler moving angle from the time point when the wire rod is advanced into the down coiler to a time point when the wire rod advanced into the down coiler is collided with the bottom of the down coiler; a step(403) of calculating a sliding angle of the top end part of the wire rod collided with the bottom of the down coiler; a step(404) of predicting position of the top end part of the wire rod coiled by adding up an angle moved by the down coiler and an angle slid by the top end part of the wire rod until the wire rod is collided with the bottom of the down coiler to an angle showing position of the down coiler at the time point when the wire rod is advanced into the down coiler; and a step(405) of determining stopping position of the down coiler within the range that the top end part of the wire rod is directed in a direction opposite to a transfer direction of the wire rod coiled from the predicted position of the top end part of the coiled wire rod.

CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(1) comprises a resting part(10) comprising a resting base installed at an end part of inclined stand(12) by which the sleeve is rolled down to be discharged so that the sleeve is put and rested on the resting base; a moving part first and second moving blocks(21a,21b) slidingly assembled into a fixed guider(22) installed at a lower part of the resting base, and first motor(23) for rotationally driving screw member(24) screw assembled into the first and second moving blocks to approach the first and second moving blocks to both edge parts of the sleeve(3) or get the first and second moving blocks away from the both edge parts of the sleeve; a removal part(30) comprising a bevel driven gear(33a) installed at first fixing stand(31a) and engaged with bevel driving gear(32a) rotationally driven by second motor(35) of the first moving block(21a), an other bevel driving gear(32b) assembled with joint mounted on a front end of driving shaft(35a) of the second motor, a bevel driven gear(33b) installed at second fixing stand(31b) and engaged with the bevel driving gear(32b), and magnets(34a,34b) installed on gear shaft(33) of the bevel driven gears(33a,33b) to grind both edge parts of the sleeve; and a supporting part comprising a spring member to support the sleeve, wherein the spring member elastically supports upward a plural supporting members one end of which is rotationally assembled into the outer circumferential surface of the driving shaft in such a way that the supporting members are closely adhered onto the inner circumferential surface of the sleeve.

摘要: PURPOSE: A protector for protecting an outer surface of a packed coil and an apparatus for attaching the same are provided to improve quality and productivity of the packed coil by automatically attaching the protector to the outer surface of the packed coil. CONSTITUTION: An automatic protector attaching apparatus includes a moving section(20), which moves along a packed coil in order to attach a protector to an outer surface of the packed coil. When the moving section(20) moves into a working position, an actuating section(40) is moved up and down in order to attach the protector to the outer surface of the packed coil. A sucking section(60) is connected to the moving section(20) so as to suck the protector and to place the protector onto the outer surface of the packed coil. A feeding section(80) is positioned at a lower portion of the sucking section in order to sequentially feed protector to the sucking section.
