Abstract: A conduit for molten glass, a molten glass degassing method, and a vacuum molten glass degassing apparatus capable of manufacturing homogeneous and good quality glass at low cost. The conduit (20) for molten glass allowing molten glass (21) to flow horizontally and vertical tubes (22) to be connected thereto is installed generally in the horizontal direction. Since the width W of the cross section of the conduit (20) for molten glass is larger than the height H of the cross section thereof and the contour of the cross section thereof is formed in a projected curve to increase a free surface (26), degassing can be efficiently performed when the conduit (20) for molten glass is used as the vacuum degassing apparatus (10). Since the projected curve is elliptic, the cross section can keep a sufficient strength. In addition, the cost of the conduit can be reduced by reducing the amount of metal forming the cross section.
