    摘要: PURPOSE: A video information-based group driving system is provided to detect generation of abnormality in an intervehicular communication system for grouped driving vehicles, and to supply the alternative information when the abnormality of the communication system arises. CONSTITUTION: A video information-based group driving system comprises a camera(10), a brake lamp tracking unit(20), a radar sensor(30), a steering angle calculating information storage unit(40), a car speed and steering control unit(50), and a control unit(60). The control unit analyzes the information which is output from the brake lamp tracking unit based on the data which are stored in the steering angle calculating information storage unit, and detects the changes of the steering of a preceding car. The control unit grasps a brake operating situation of the preceding car in real time. The control unit maintains a constant interval between a car and the preceding car by controlling the car speed and steering control unit based on the preceding car information and the signal which is output from a radar sensor.
