    Abstract: A catalyst composition for improving quality of polyurethane foam is provided to reduce crushing strength, to increase air flow, to improve tear strength while not significantly reducing elasticity, thereby imparting improved physical properties and durability to polyurethane foam. A catalyst composition for improving quality of polyurethane foam essentially comprises at least one tertiary amine urethane catalyst and 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, wherein 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol comprises 20-100 wt% of 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol and 0-80 wt% of an alkanol having at least 7 carbon atoms or a polyalkoxylated derivative of the alkanol. The tertiary amine urethane catalyst includes triethylene diamine, bisdimethylaminoethyl ether or a combination thereof.
